The method involves mixing an ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene with a solvent in a predetermined ratio, and processing the mixture through a high-shear method to prepare an ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene emulsion solution that is extruded by a dual-screw extruder and quenched in chilled water into a gel protofilament. The gel protofilament is then cleaned by a hydrocarbon cleaning agent before undergoing extraction drawing, drying and hot drawing multiple times so as to form high-tenacity, high-modulus polyethylene fiber.
