Abstract: Disclosed are novel N-(3-heteroarylaryl)-4-arylarylcarboxamides and analogs thereof, represented by the Formula I: wherein C cyclic group, D1-D4, Q1, Q2, R5 are defined herein. Compounds having Formula (I) are hedgehog pathway inhibitors. Therefore, compounds of the invention may be used to treat clinical conditions that are responsive to the inhibition of hedgehog activity, such as cancer.

Abstract: Essential genes coding for the metabolic pathway of solventogenic autotrophic Clostridia were sequenced, and functionality was confirmed. The present invention utilizes a comparative inter-species approach to develop the minimum set of essential genes for metabolic function and estimate productivity in species of suspected solventogenic capability.

Abstract: A method of controlling interrupts in the process of data transmission used for transmitting data between an information processing device and a storage device having a flash memory includes: receiving a write request sent by the information processing device using the storage device; in response to the write request, writing data to the flash memory; sending a message to the information processing device, to indicate completion of the write request, and calculating the number of times of sending messages to the information processing device within the predetermined time interval; in which, if the number is larger than the predetermined threshold, stopping the sending messages to the information processing device.

Abstract: An integrated circuit device (200) includes a first and second differential I/O pins (TRXP/TRXN) and a surge protection circuit. The surge protection circuit includes a protection transistor, a positive surge detection circuit, and a negative surge detection circuit. The protection transistor is connected between the first and second I/O pins and has a gate to receive a control signal (CTRL). The protection transistor is turned on to connect the I/O pins together if the positive surge detection circuit detects a positive surge energy on either of the I/O pins and/or if the negative surge detection circuit detects a negative surge energy on either of the I/O pins. The surge protection circuit provides increased protection for Ethernet device against undesirable energy in a manner that does not adversely affect the performance of the device.

Abstract: The present invention provides a self-enhancement plastic profile and a production method thereof. The self-enhancement plastic profile is made by co-extrusion a substrate resin and a PBT resin containing fiber glass. The production method of the self-enhancement plastic profile is that: melting and co-extrusion of the substrate resin and the PBT resin containing fiber glass. Infrastructures comprise a main engine and an auxiliary engine vertically arranged to the main engine. The main engine processes the PVC substrate (1), the auxiliary engine processes an enhancement bar (2) of the PBT resin containing fiberglass, the raw materials are extruded by the main engine and the auxiliary engine at the same and the extrudate is pre-profiled, and subjected to cold cutting and sized. The enhancement bar (2) is made by blending the fiberglass with the polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) plastic. The self-enhancement plastic profile has advantages of simple, convenient and quick installation and convenient to produce.

Abstract: Methods for forming semiconductor devices having non-merged fin extensions. Methods for forming semiconductor devices include forming trenches in an insulator layer of a substrate. Fins are formed in the trenches and a dummy gate is formed over the fins, leaving a source and drain region exposed. The fins are etched below a surface level of a surrounding insulator layer. Fin extensions are epitaxially grown from the etched fins.

Abstract: A memory chip coupled to a host includes a memory and a controller. Multiple boot images having the same content are pre-loaded in the memory. The controller is coupled to the memory for processing data transmission between the memory chip and the host. The controller further determines whether the memory chip enters a boot mode for the first time. When the memory chip enters the boot mode for the first time, the controller accesses the memory so as to obtain a correct boot image from the boot images and transmits the correct boot image to the host.

Abstract: The preparation of Pleurotus tuber-regium polysaccharide functionalized nano-selenium hydrosol with anti-tumor activity includes the following steps: 1) at normal temperature and under normal pressure, adding a Vitamin C solution to an aqueous solution of Pleurotus tuber-regium polysaccharides, and mixing uniformly; 2) adding dropwise a selenium dioxide solution or a selenite solution to the solution while mixing uniformly; and 3) adding water to the solution to a pre-determined volume, to obtain a Pleurotus tuber-regium polysaccharide functionalized nano-selenium hydrosol when the red color of the product is no longer deepened. The polysaccharides are used to control the particle size of nano-selenium, to obtain functionalized nano-elemental selenium with high anti-tumor activity and low toxicity. The anti-tumor activity of the biologically active molecule polysaccharides and the physiological effect of nano-selenium are combined, and a synergistic anti-tumor effect is achieved.
