    Abstract: An optical communication mount configured for surface mounting of optical transmitters, receivers or transceivers. The mount includes a housing having holes extending from the back side to the front side of the housing. The mount includes a first set of electrically-conductive traces disposed on a bottom side of the housing for surface mounting the mount on a printed circuit board (PCB), and a second set of electrically-conductive traces disposed on the front side of the housing. The mount also includes optical fibers extending into the thru-holes from the back side of the housing. The mount includes photo devices substantially registered with the thru-holes at the front side of the housing in a manner to receive and/or transmit more optical signals by way of the optical fibers, wherein the photo devices are configured to receive bias voltages from the PCB by way of the first and second sets of electrically-conductive traces.

The first inverter is formed inside the DNW. The second inverter is formed in the substrate and outside the DNW. The electrical path is arranged between the first inverter and the second inverter. The charge-dispelling device is connected between the ground of the first inverter and the ground of the second inverter to develop a bypass path. The impedance of the bypass path is lower than the impedance of the electrical path.

    Abstract: A method for creating a hybrid electric and optical data center network is provided with a plurality of servers, a plurality of ToR/EoR switches, and an optical central switch. Each of the plurality servers maintains an electronic connection with a corresponding ToR/EoR switch from the plurality of switches. The plurality of ToR/EoR switches is interconnected to each other electronically and optically. The optical central switch in conjunction with a plurality of tunable transceivers allows a signal originating from any of the plurality of the servers, to traverse the data center network to reach any destination server. To do so, wavelength switching takes place via the plurality of transceivers at each of the ToR/EoR switches. Simultaneously, space switching takes place within the center switch. By utilizing the method, intra data center bandwidth is optimized and the network the method is utilized in is non-blocking.

    Abstract: The present invention provides methods for diagnosing and treating Helicobacter pylori infection by using a monoclonal antibody to detect Helicobacter pylori neutrophil-activating protein (HP-NAP) and inhibit the activity thereof. The monoclonal antibody is an ANTI-FLAG antibody that binds to a specific epitope on HP-NAP for the detection of HP-NAP in its native form or denatured form. Furthermore, the present invention uses the ANTI-FLAG antibody to block HP-NAP-induced production of reactive oxygen species by human neutrophils. Thus, the present invention can be applied in clinical diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori infection as well as treatment of the infection via inhibiting Helicobacter pylori-induced inflammation.

    Abstract: A dock includes a base, a fixing switch, a release component, a connector, and a connection component. When an electronic device is mounted on the base, the release component must be pressed in order for the fixing switch to be operable, allowing the connection component to drive the connector to connect with the electronic device. When no electronic device is mounted on the base, the connector is received in the base to protect the connector against damage while the dock is being carried around. That the release component must be pressed in order for the fixing switch to be movable protects the connector against damage in a situation where, while the dock is being carried around, the fixing switch is inadvertently pushed, causing the connector to protrude from the dock.
