  • Publication number: 20120099861
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of network communications. An Optical Line Terminal (OLT) allocates a Pseudo Wire (PW) label of an access segment PW for a port, and establishes a corresponding relationship between the port information and the PW label; and carries the corresponding relationship between the port information and the PW label in a label management message, and sends the label management message to an Optical Network Unit (ONU) so that the ONU updates a forwarding table, in which the label management message adopts an access network management protocol. As a consequence, a problem of supporting Pseudo Wire Emulation Edge-to-Edge (PWE3) on a data plane of an access segment of an access network is solved under the conditions that device complexity of the ONU is not increased and a configuration of the ONU is slightly changed.

  • Patent number: 8166193
Abstract: A method is disclosed for communicating using a device having a Palm OS. SMB is preferentially used to communicate with a node, and if use of SMB is not possible, FTP is used, and if use of FTP is not possible, Bluetooth is used. If FTP or Bluetooth is selected as the protocol, file sharing between the device and node that entails a read or write is executed by temporarily copying a file to an internal Palm OS memory of the device, performing the read or write on the file, and then copying the file back to the node to overwrite a previous version of the file at the node. For non-Palm OS file transfer to the internal memory, the file is wrapped in a Palm OS stream in the internal memory for executing reads or writes. For file transfer to an expansion Palm OS memory card, byte-to-byte copying of the file is executed using the FAT of the expansion memory, with the file being transferred through an internal Palm OS memory of the device.

  • Patent number: 8165112
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to portions of a switch fabric having a single logical stage and at least one physical stage. In addition, the data paths and the control paths of the switch fabric can be decoupled thereby allowing additional processing to be performed than would otherwise be the case with control rates that matched the high data rates. In other words, data cells received on high speed links can be spread over many lower speed links; consequently, the data cells can transit the switch fabric at that high speed while the control information associated with the data can be processed at that lower speed. Because the control information can be processed at a lower speed (associated with the control path), the control information can be processed over a greater period of time.

  • Patent number: 8165221
Abstract: A technique for eliminating duplicate data is provided. Upon receipt of a new data set, one or more anchor points are identified within the data set. A bit-by-bit data comparison is then performed of the region surrounding the anchor point in the received data set with the region surrounding an anchor point stored within a pattern database to identify forward/backward delta values. The duplicate data identified by the anchor point, forward and backward delta values is then replaced in the received data set with a storage indicator.
