Patent number: 12293841Abstract: A method may receive historical metabolic values for an individual having a first medical condition. A method may provide a first subset of the historical metabolic values to a machine learning model to train a generative machine learning model. A method may generate a first predicted metabolic value based on the first subset of historical metabolic values. A method may calculate a root mean square error (RMSE) between the first predicted metabolic value and a corresponding actual metabolic value of a second subset of historical metabolic values. A method may train the generative machine learning model to minimize the RMSE. A method may generate a trained generative machine learning model based on the training.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2024Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: Welldoc, Inc.Inventors: Junjie Luo, Abhimanyu Kumbara, Anand K. Publication number: 20250141470Abstract: A convolutional neural network (CNN) system is provided that includes a flexible accelerator configured to convert an input feature map into a set of input sub-feature maps, each having a similar amount of sparsity. The system allows each of the sub-feature maps to be processed independently while taking advantage of the sparsity. In some aspects, the CNN system is configured with an index processor that receives data value indexes and weight indexes and generates data path processor commands for processing by a separate data path processor. In other aspects, unroll circuitry is configured to unroll feature maps to provide index-value compression. The unroll/compression scheme allows an input feature map to be read sequentially (tile-by-tile) so that an accumulate buffer can be implemented with a single read-only path and single write-only path. This can simplify memory control design, eliminating requirements for expensive cache-like structures while also reducing power.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 1, 2023Publication date: May 1, 2025Inventors: Vikram Varadarajan Kalkunte, Matheus Almeida Ogleari, Anand K Kulkarni, Daniel Joseph Linnen

Publication number: 20250067595Abstract: An electronic device may have a sensor to measure ambient flicker. The sensor may be a sigma-delta converter. The flicker may be calculated based on the voltage output of the sigma-delta converter and the number of times the sigma-delta converter is triggered during a predetermined period, thereby reducing the voltage output. In particular, a fast Fourier transform (FFT) may be used on these values to determine the flicker. If desired, filtering and/or non-uniform sampling may be incorporated to avoid aliasing. Additionally or alternatively, a Lomb-Scargle spectral analysis may be used to prevent the attenuation of the measured flicker signals. As an alternative to using a sigma-delta converter to determine ambient flicker, a folding capacitive transimpedance amplifier (C-TIA) circuit or a circuit with an analog to digital converter and digital filter may be used to measure the ambient flicker.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2024Publication date: February 27, 2025Inventors: Anand K. Publication number: 20240264759Abstract: A Cloud Service Provider reconfigures a memory subsystem during routine operation, while minimizing the amount of time a server is not online. Server downtime is reduced by offloading reconfiguration of system memory to the operating system with platform assistance. The operating system enumerates potential memory configurations of the memory subsystem with associated performance characteristics in an abstracted manner and performs reconfiguration of the memory subsystem without a cold reset. When reconfiguration of the memory subsystem is deemed necessary by the operating system, the operating system examines the enumerated memory subsystem configurations provided by system firmware. After selecting the memory subsystem configuration, the operating system initiates a reconfiguration process.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 29, 2024Publication date: August 8, 2024Inventors: Anand K. Patent number: 11953374Abstract: An electronic device may have an ambient light sensor for gathering ambient light measurements. The ambient light sensor may include multiple channels for measuring different wavelengths of ambient light. An additional, modified, channel may be formed in the ambient light sensor to measure radio-frequency signals that may interfere with the ambient light measurements due to electromagnetic interference. Alternatively, circuitry separate from the ambient light sensor, such as an antenna, may measure the radio-frequency signals. If the radio-frequency signals exceed a threshold, the ambient light sensor measurements taken in the presence of the radio-frequency signals may be discarded or corrected. If the radio-frequency signals do not exceed a threshold, the ambient light sensor measurements may be kept. Therefore, the ambient light measurements that are kept and relied upon by the electronic device may be free from electromagnetic interference.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2023Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Apple Inc.Inventors: Michael D Eaton, Anand K Chamakura, Dong Zheng
