  • Patent number: 12047932
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for sidelink resource selection with AD usage awareness. A UE may receive, from one or more ANs, one or more resource usage schedules associated with one or more ADs in communication with the one or more ANs. The UE may combine the one or more resource usage schedules associated with the one or more ADs into a combined resource usage schedule. The usages may be associated with the combined resource usage schedule, which may be indicative of excluded resources for a transmission of the UE. The UE may transmit, based on the combined resource usage schedule, the transmission of the UE on a resource other than the excluded resources.

  • Publication number: 20240202965
Abstract: Aspects relate to techniques for estimating relative pose leveraging lane markers. A first wireless communication device may receive a message from a second wireless communication device including a plurality of visual features (e.g., keypoints) of an image captured by the second wireless communication device, lane features identifying two (or more) traffic lane markers, and respective two-point two-line (2L2P) metrics for pairs of keypoints based on the traffic lane markers. The first wireless communication device may then obtain additional features from an additional image captured by the first wireless communication device and identify matching keypoints of the additional features for which the respective 2L2P metrics are satisfied. The first wireless communication device may then calculate a relative pose of the first wireless communication device with respect to the second wireless communication device based on the matching features.

  • Publication number: 20240192357
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support visual sensing for positioning. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes receiving a first image of an object from an image capture device. The method also includes receiving location information that includes a coordinate point, a position of the UE determined based on the coordinate point, or a combination thereof. The coordinate point is generated based on a relative orientation between the UE and a network entity, and a matched pair of points including a first point of the first image and a second point of a second image of the object captured by the network entity. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

  • Patent number: 12004047
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a vulnerable road user (VRU) user equipment (UE) indicates to a user whether a current position accuracy is sufficient or insufficient for approaching vehicles to determine if they present a hazard to the VRU. The position accuracy may be based on an accuracy threshold that is configured at the UE, such as by a serving base station or a road side unit (RSU). The accuracy threshold may be configured via common or dedicated signaling, through application-layer signaling, or may be pre-configured in the UE. When the VRU UE position accuracy exceeds the specified threshold for a particular interval of time, the UE may inform the user that approaching vehicles will be unable to determine their location with enough accuracy to take evasive maneuvers.

  • Patent number: 11991656
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to select a synchronization signal from multiple synchronization signals received at transceiver nodes of the UE based on configured selection rules. The UE may receive control signaling from another UE, a base station, or some other device indicating a rule for selecting between multiple synchronization signals received across transceiver nodes of the UE. The selection rule may indicate signal quality comparison metrics for selecting the synchronization signal, such as reference signal received power (RSRP) metrics, timing metrics, priority metrics, or a combination thereof. The UE may select a synchronization signal for deriving a timing at the UE based on the selection rule. The UE may forward the selected synchronization signal to one or more other UEs by transmitting the selected synchronization signal via each transceiver node at the UE.

  • Patent number: 11985631
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may be associated with a reconfigurable surface for reflecting transmissions between second and third UEs (e.g., over sidelink resources). In one example, the first UE may transmit signaling indicating that retransmissions of a first message transmitted between a second and third UE and detected by the first UE may be reflected by the reconfigurable surface associated with the first UE. In another example, the first UE may receive a request from a second UE for signal enhancement using a reconfigurable surface, the request associated with a future transmission by the second UE to a third UE. In either case, the UE may determine to perform signal enhancement using a reconfigurable surface and may then reconfigure the reconfigurable surface for reflecting transmissions or retransmissions from the second UE to the third UE.
