  • Publication number: 20240107263
Abstract: In some implementations, a network node of a wireless network may determine that a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection state of a Uu interface of the target UE comprises an inactive or idle state. The network node may determine a time during which the target UE will be in a sidelink (SL) active state, wherein the SL active state comprises a state of operation in which the target UE monitors communication via one or more SL interfaces, transmits communication via the one or more SL interfaces, or both. The network node may send a message, the message for obtaining positioning measurements of the target UE using one or more SL devices corresponding to the one or more SL interfaces, wherein obtaining the positioning measurements is performed while (i) the RRC connection state comprises the inactive or idle state, and (ii) the target UE is in the SL active state.

  • Publication number: 20240107603
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a first user equipment (UE) to establish a communication link with a base station and a sidelink communication link with a second UE using different transmission reception points associated with the first UE. The first UE may perform an interference measurement between downlink communications received on the communication link and sidelink communications transmitted on the sidelink communication link. The first UE may determine whether it is able to perform full-duplex operations on the communication link and the sidelink communication link based on the interference measurement and may transmit an indication of the capability of the first UE to the base station.

  • Publication number: 20240098657
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a base station may schedule a multi-transmission reception point (mTRP) UE for concurrent uplink and sidelink transmissions based on interference measure. For example, abase station may determine an amount of interference associated with resources used for sidelink communications between the mTRP UE and a second UE. Based on the determined amount of interference, the base station may transmit a resource grant to the mTRP UE indicating a first set of resource for transmitting one or more uplink messages to the base station and a second set of resources for transmitting one or more sidelink messages to the second UE, where the first set of resources and the second set of resources at least partially overlap in time.

  • Publication number: 20240097837
Abstract: In some implementations, a target user equipment (UE) may receive, from an initiator UE via an SL interface, a discovery request corresponding to an SL positioning session, wherein the target UE comprises a plurality of transmission/reception points (TRPs). The target UE may determine, from the discovery request, the initiator UE is incapable of associating each TRP of the plurality of TRPs with the target UE. Responsive to determining the initiator UE is incapable of associating each TRP of the plurality of TRPs with the target UE, the target UE may participate in the SL positioning session with the target UE by either: (i) using only one TRP of the plurality of TRPs during the SL positioning session, or (ii) using each TRP of the plurality of TRPs such that each TRP operates as a distinct UE.

  • Publication number: 20240098840
Abstract: A first user equipment (UE) wakes up a second UE to request information using an application specific sidelink wake up signal (SL-WUS). The first UE determines a sidelink configuration of the second UE that is configured with a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. The first UE transmits the SL-WUS on a configured resource monitored by the second UE during the DRX mode. A selection of a sequence of the SL-WUS or a selection of the configured resource indicates a type of information requested by the first UE. The second UE receives the SL-WUS, wakes up during a DRX on duration, and transmits the requested information. The first UE receives the type of information requested by the first UE.

  • Publication number: 20240090028
Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a downlink communication from a network over a first interface transmitted to one or more WTRUs in a group of WTRUs. The WTRU may determine an access class of the WTRU based on a packet loss percentage of the downlink communication. The access class may be associated with a contention window for accessing a second interface. The WTRU may transmit packet loss information to the one or more WTRUs over the second interface in the contention window. The WTRU may receive packet loss feedback from the one or more WTRUs over the second interface. The WTRU may determine that the access class of the WTRU is a highest class of the one or more WTRUs. The WTRU may transmit a single groupcast negative acknowledgement (gNACK) to the network on behalf of the one or more WTRUs over the first interface.
