  • Patent number: 9681486
Abstract: In a radio system a network node is provided to be operatively connected to a set of radio base stations of the radio network and to retrieving a neighbor list from each radio base station in said set of radio base stations. Based on said list of neighbors it is determined if a pair of radio base stations lack a connection between them, and upon determining that a connection between two radio base stations is lacking a connection between said pair of radio base stations is set up.

  • Publication number: 20150327065
Abstract: A method for use in a network node (210, 220) in a Wi-Fi network (200) for handling an access attempt by a wireless device (121) is provided. The wireless device (121) is also configured to operate in a wireless telecommunications network (100). The wireless telecommunications network (100) comprises a policy control node (350) comprising information associated with the wireless device (121) that is registered via the wireless telecommunications network (100). The network node receives the information associated with the wireless device (121) from the policy control node (350) in response to transmitting an authentication request comprising an identifier associated with the wireless device (121) to an authentication node (510, 520) based on an access attempt to the Wi-Fi network (200) by the wireless device (121). Then, the network node determines whether or not the access attempt by the wireless device (121) to the Wi-Fi network (200) is allowed at least partly based on the received information.

  • Patent number: 8780856
Abstract: Systems and methods according to these exemplary embodiments provide for methods and systems for handing off user equipment between different access systems, e.g., a high rate packet data (HRPD) system and a long term evolution (LTE) system. Resources to be used in the target system can be allocated prior to breaking the serving radio connection to minimize “break before make” time associated with the handoff.
