  • Patent number: 12294914
Abstract: Communication between an owner of a lost tracking device and a finder of a lost tracking device is established. A tracking system receives an identifier of a tracking device and a request for a web page from a mobile device that has captured an image of a smart code on the tracking device. The smart code is embedded with a URL to the web page. The system displays the web page on the mobile device and prompts the user to provide a location of the mobile device. The location is associated with the identifier of the tracking device. A notification indicating the location of the tracking device is generated for the owner. The owner is prompted to provide information to establish contact with the finder of the device, and the web page is populated with the owner's provided information for display on the finder's mobile device.

  • Patent number: 12292498
Abstract: An extension of the LoRa modulation with an improved ranging mode. A master and a slave device exchange a request and a reply that contain sequences of chirps that are carefully aligned in time, frequency, and preferably also phase, such that the master device can ascertain the propagation delay to the slave by demodulating the reply. Request and reply include chirps having different slopes, preferably slopes of equal absolute value and opposite sign. The slope diversity permits an unbiased estimation of the Doppler shift.

  • Patent number: 12291984
Abstract: A method for evaluating a sensor signal of an exhaust NOx sensor, which is disposed downstream of a three-way catalytic converter in an exhaust system of a spark ignition internal combustion engine. An ammonia factor is modeled downstream of the three-way catalytic converter using an ammonia formation model. A NOx emission is modeled in the exhaust system downstream of the three-way catalytic converter using a NOx model. The modeled ammonia emissions and the modeled NOx emission are separated by a separation algorithm using the sensor signal of the exhaust NOx sensor. The separation algorithm provides quantitative information about the tailpipe ammonia emissions and the tailpipe NOx emissions of the spark ignition internal combustion engine. An engine control unit and an internal combustion engine for carrying out such a method are also provided.

  • Patent number: 12295181
Abstract: An electrical power converter can include a plurality of layers disposed on a substrate. An emitter, including a first semiconductor junction that is formed at an interface between a first pair of adjacent layers, can produce light in response to a first electrical signal. An absorber, including a second semiconductor junction that is formed at an interface between a second pair of adjacent layers, can absorb at least some of the light. Circuitry can produce a second electrical signal in response to the absorbed light. The second electrical signal can be substantially proportional to the first electrical signal and can be electrically isolated from the first electrical signal. Because the light can remain within the layers during use, the electrical power converter can have a higher efficiency than a comparable device that propagates the light through at least one interface between air and a semiconductor material.

  • Patent number: 12291240
Abstract: Techniques for determining a response of a simulated vehicle to a simulated object in a simulation are discussed herein. Log data captured by a physical vehicle in an environment can be received. Object data representing an object in the log data can be used to instantiate a simulated object in a simulation to determine a response of a simulated vehicle to the simulated object. Additionally, one or more trajectory segments in a trajectory library representing the log data can be determined and instantiated as a trajectory of the simulated object in order to increase the accuracy and realism of the simulation.
