  • Publication number: 20110094992
Abstract: Method for manufacturing a heat exchanger, wherein two neighboring metal tubes (1) are joined to one another in the overlap areas at their open ends by a U-shaped end tube (3), using an adhesive (5), wherein a) the adhesive is applied to the overlap areas of the U-shaped end tube, and wherein the adhesive is selected so that after being applied to the overlap areas of the U-shaped end tube and before being bonded to the metal tubes, the adhesive is solid and not tacky at temperatures below 30° C. and does not cure without an activation step, b) the end tube with the overlap area and the adhesive applied thereto is attached to the metal tubes or inserted into the metal tubes, and c) the adhesive is activated thermally or by bombardment with high-energy radiation either before or after step b), so that it cures after step b) and bonds the metal tube to the U-shaped end tube in the overlap area.

  • Publication number: 20090122934
Abstract: A system and a method for the transmission of signals representative of an event include a first low frequency clock (101) and a low frequency counter (102) for generating a first delay (TL), and a second high frequency clock (106) and a high frequency counter (104) for generating a second delay (TH). The system further includes a transmitter (105) for transmitting the representative signals after a delay from the event made up by the sum of the first and the second delay. The second delay can be generated also by an analogic device including for example a capacitor (99), and devices (97) for charging the capacitor up to the reaching of a preset voltage at its ends. A wireless transmission system according to the invention is utilized in a checking system with a contact detecting probe (1), for transmitting a signal representative of contact with the piece to be checked.

  • Patent number: 7395182
Abstract: A system for performing dimension checkings of mechanical pieces is provided including a contact detecting probe with wireless transmission, for example through a single radiofrequency two-way communication link, to and from a base station connected to an interface unit. The probe includes a logic unit and a memory unit in which reside the values of some operation parameters, for example the transmission frequency and/or the activation mode of the probe. The values of the operation parameters can be modified in a programming phase, according to a method that foresees the wireless transmission of control signals from a manually operated control device—to the probe, for updating of the values among the selectable values of a sequence residing in the probe, and the acquisition of the current value.

  • Publication number: 20060173651
Abstract: A system for performing dimension checkings of mechanical pieces includes a contact detecting probe (4) with wireless transmission, for example by means of a single radiofrequency two-way communication link (14), with respect to a base station (10) connected to an interface unit (11). The probe includes a logic unit (36) and a memory unit (38) in which there reside the values of some operation parameters, for example the transmission frequency and/or the activation mode of the probe. The values of the operation parameters can be modified in a programming phase, according to a method that foresees the wireless transmission of control signals from a manually operated control device-carried out, for example, in the interface unit-to the probe, for giving the updating of the values among the selectable values of a sequence residing in the probe, and the acquisition of the current value.

  • Patent number: 6115647
Abstract: A system for numerical control machine tools comprises contact detecting probes, powered by a battery, that transmit radio-frequency signals to associated interfaces. When the probes are not being utilized for checking cycles, they are in a low-energy consumption state, in other words the circuits of the probes are only partially powered. When the need arises, the circuits of a probe are fully powered by the battery, by a radio-frequency activation signal. The procedure for activating a selected probe includes the sending of a generic activation signal from the associated interface, the transmitting of an identification signal from all the probes that have been activated by the generic signal and the sending of a generic confirmation signal from the interface in reply to the identification signal of the selected probe.

  • Patent number: 5949352
Abstract: A system for transmitting a radio-frequency signal from a contact detecting probe (1), powered by a battery (4), to a remote interface (11), that includes the transmitting, by way of coded serial signals, of messages containing information regarding the state of the probe, the level of charge of its associated battery, and other possible control and identification information. In order to guarantee the repeatability of the delay time that cannot be avoided in the transmission of the change of state of the probe, the bit periods of the single bits that form the message are changed, with respect to a nominal bit period (TN) of the serial signal, on the basis of the delay or the advance at which there occurs the change of state, with respect to a theoretical instant (C0) pre-set within the nominal bit period.

  • Patent number: 5778550
Abstract: A measuring system for a numerical control machine tool comprising a detecting head (3), for contacting a workpiece (1) to be checked and for transmitting an optical coded signal (8) to a remote transceiver unit (11) that, in turn, can transmit an optical switch on signal (10) to the head (3). The transceiver unit (11) is connected, by means of a cable (45) including separate lines (43, 44) for the transmitted and received signals, to an interface unit (12), in turn connected to a computerized numerical control unit (13). In the event that faults occur in the transmission between the head (3) and the interface unit (12), a test takes place so as to identify in which part of the system the fault is located. A test signal is generated by suitable means (38) in the interface unit (12), transmitted from the transceiver unit (11) towards a reflecting surface (16), reflected by the latter, received by the transceiver unit (11) and sent to the interface unit (12).
