Abstract: In an arrangement for controlling an internal combustion engine comprising an electronic engine control unit, a cylinder with a combustion chamber, a fuel injector, an intelligent electronic block with an electronic data storage unit, a computing unit, a signal measuring unit and an electric energy storage device for supplying energy to the electronic block during operation of the internal combustion engine, and control lines for the transmission of fuel injection control signals from the electronic engine control unit to the injector, the control lines for the transmission of injector control signals serve as energy transmission for the energy storage device and, at the same time, as bi-directional data exchange lines.

Abstract: A holder for a food or beverage container includes a housing having an opening, a holding arm having a retracted position, and a multipartite mask arrangement associated with the housing opening. The multipartite mask arrangement includes a plurality of masks mounted for movement on the housing, and the masks are movable independently of one another from an open position uncovering the housing opening to a closed position closing the housing opening. The holding arm includes a receiver for the container and is received in the housing in the retracted position. The mask arrangement closes the housing opening when the holding arm is at the retracted position, and at least partially uncovers the housing opening for a deployment of the holding arm.

At least one front side interruption is caused to extend along at least a portion of the front side surface and into the wafer to a depth sufficient to interrupt the semiconductor p/n junction to define a plurality of separate p/n junction sections within the wafer and to define separate front side surface portions associated with respective separate p/n junction sections. A back side interruption is caused to extend along a portion of the metallized back side surface, generally opposite the front side interruption, to define a plurality of separate metallized back side surface portions associated with respective p/n junction sections and in electrical contact with respective p/n junction sections.

Abstract: A photovoltaic apparatus has a semiconductor photovoltaic cell structure having a front surface and a back surface provided by respectively doped portions of semiconductor material forming a photovoltaic junction. A plurality of separate electrical contacts is embedded in the front side surface of the respective one of the portions of semiconductor material. The electrical contacts are distributed in two dimensions across the surface and are separated from each other and are in electrical contact with the respective one of the portions of semiconductor material. A back side electrical contact is provided on the back surface of the other of the respective portions of semiconductor material and in electrical contact therewith. A solar cell apparatus includes the apparatus above and electrodes for contacting the electrical contacts on the front and back side surfaces respectively of the semiconductor material.

Abstract: Techniques are described to enable a user to define data-transition rules that control how a handover component of a computer application transforms business objects of one type to business objects of another type. The handover component is logically situated between a preceding business process that uses a preceding type of business object and a second business process that uses a second type of business object. Based on the user-defined data-transition rules, the handover component performs a split/merge process that determines the succeeding business objects to be generated based on the preceding business objects received from the preceding business process and then generates the succeeding business objects based on the received preceding business objects and the user-defined data-transition rules.
