  • Publication number: 20160074632
Abstract: A balloon catheter includes a drug-coated balloon having an uncoated region free from drug coating, a displaceable protective sleeve covering the drug-coated balloon and an elongate catheter body that has a distal end and a proximal end. Another catheter has an uncoated region and/or an additional uncoated balloon is on the catheter body. The uncoated balloon or the additional uncoated balloon are mounted to be exposed first when the sleeve is displaced. This blocks blood flow while the drug coated balloon or balloon region is inflated to avoid or minimize release of drug into the blood stream away from the site of treatment.

  • Publication number: 20150114326
Abstract: An internal combustion engine has a crankcase and a crankcase ventilation system having a switchable shut-off valve, and sensors that detect different operating parameters of the engine, including a load variable of the engine. An estimated load parameter is determined based on the different detected operating parameters using a dynamic model, and a corrective value of a characteristic value is determined as a function of a deviation between the estimated load variable and the detected load variable. To implement a diagnosis, diagnosis switching cycle(s) are controlled, in which the shut-off valve is set to a closed switched position for a first time and set to an open switched position for a second time. A diagnosis value representative of a shut-off valve being in a correct or incorrect state is determined based on a change to the corrective value in response to the one or the plurality of diagnosis switching cycles.

  • Publication number: 20150008206
Abstract: A mobile telescopic crane has a telescopic jib with at least three part-jibs. Each of the part-jibs is constructed from at least two part-jib portions so as to be telescopic in a longitudinal direction. Part-jib portions arranged at a spacing from one another transverse to the longitudinal direction each form a jib portion with at least one flexurally rigid connecting element. Respective adjacent jib portions are mechanically lockable with respect to one another in the longitudinal direction. A construction of this type of the jib means that an increase in the bearing load is easily achieved by increasing the area moment of inertia of the jib.

  • Patent number: 8412437
Abstract: Actual values of a load variable are detected by a sensor during active model trimming under different valve pressure conditions, and a model of estimated values is created. Trimming values of a model parameter are determined depending on detected and modeled values such that when the model parameter is trimmed, the modeled values approximate the detected values. A function is determined depending on the different pressure conditions and approximated to the trimming values. At different pressure conditions first lambda control values are detected. A first controller value fitted function is determined depending on the pressure conditions and approximated. When the model trimming mode is not active, second lambda control values are detected at different pressure conditions. A second controller value fitted function is determined depending on the pressure conditions and is approximated. An error of the intake system is detected depending on the fitted functions.

  • Patent number: 8266661
Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing template-based prefix caching advantageously identifies common prefixes (i.e., initial video segments) in video titles, stores common prefixes only once in a prefix cache, and uses these common prefixes when serving requests for video content. This advantageously enables a prefix cache to scale to a large number of video titles, since the cache stores each common prefix only once. A new video title that uses an already existing prefix may be advantageously added without requiring additional storage in the prefix cache. Template-based prefix caching also advantageously reduces the bandwidth required to distribute prefixes when new titles are ingested into the system—if the required template is already available in the prefix cache, prefix-caching is enabled instantly for this title and no additional bandwidth is required to distribute the prefix.
