  • Publication number: 20110056716
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electric saw (1) being powered by an external power supply (200) through a multicore cable (6). The multicore cable (6) includes electrical wires (24, 25, 27) for supplying power to the motors (5, 12, 13) of the electric saw (1) and communication wires (26) for data communication between the electric saw (1) and the power supply (200). Two motors (12, 13) of the electric saw are three phase permanent magnet motors (12, 13), with an outer rotor (31) and an inner stator (30). Each of the two motors (12, 13) has three Hall Effect sensors (H1, H2, H3) located around the outer rotor (31).

  • Publication number: 20090199106
Abstract: Methods of generating and displaying a list of bookmarks to remotely stored content items in a portable electronic device including a display screen include monitoring access of a content item by an application program in the portable electronic device, and storing a record including a screenshot image on the display screen associated with the content item, an address of the content item, and an identification of the application program. The methods further include displaying the screenshot image on the display screen, and in response to a selection of the screenshot image by the user, retrieving the content item from the address and invoking the application program to display the content item.

  • Publication number: 20080214160
Abstract: A motion of a mobile device, such as motions detected with an accelerometer, may be used to trigger an audio manipulation effect. In one implementation, logic is configured to output audio. Second logic is configured to identify a movement of the mobile device and third logic is configured to manipulate the output audio based on the identified movement.

  • Publication number: 20080129719
Abstract: An electronic device for controlling the illumination of a display and/or a keypad thereof. The electronic device comprises a user interface with a display and a keypad. A lighting device is adapted to provide an illumination effect to the display and/or the keypad to thereby illuminate at least one of the display and the keypad. The electronic device further comprises a calendar unit. A detector coupled to the calendar unit is adapted to detect a calendar event, e.g. a certain day, month, year, meeting appointment, etc. that is generated from the calendar unit. Also, a controller is coupled to the lighting device and the detector, wherein the controller is adapted to control the illumination effect of the lighting device in dependence of the detected calendar event. The invention also concerns a method and a computer program product.

  • Publication number: 20070163412
Abstract: A movable machining element, for example a wall saw, can have one or more characteristics including a reversible driving head, a driving head removable from a carriage and having a quick release or quick lock mechanism, a driving head that is removable from a carriage without the use of threaded fasteners or having to unthread a holding element for removing the driving head from the carriage, a driving head with parallel, concentric or coaxial travel elements and tool driving elements, a tool driving assembly including a travel gear accessible from more than one direction, a component in the machining element having an oriented fiber or other composite incorporated in or as part of the component, an eccentric lateral adjustment assembly, or a drive shaft having a non-circular driving surface, for example a hexagonal drive shaft. In a wall saw, a blade and blade flange assembly are easily assembled on the saw or removed from the saw.

  • Patent number: 6882659
Abstract: A mobile application running in a mobile device may be coordinated or synchronized with a non-mobile application running in a non-mobile device. The mobile and non-mobile applications may be, for example, calendar applications. To permit the use of a session-oriented (connection-oriented) protocol stack when the transmission medium between the mobile and non-mobile devices is connectionless, the mobile device sends an initial communication to the non-mobile device. In response to receipt of the initial communication, a session identifier is generated. A first connection-oriented protocol frame is then formed that includes an initial response and the session identifier. The first connection-oriented protocol frame is embedded in a first connectionless protocol frame, and the first connectionless protocol frame is sent to the mobile device. Although the mobile device initiates the session, the session is controlled by the non-mobile device.
