  • Publication number: 20190242471
Abstract: A transmission for a motor vehicle, including a housing, which at least partly encloses at least one movable transmission part and is filled with an operating medium during a normal operation of the transmission, and including a heating element which dispenses a heat output in order to heat the operating medium. One object is to increase a coupling surface for dispensing a heat output to the operating medium in a simple manner. The heating element is designed to dispense the heat output to the housing via a first coupling surface, and the housing is designed to dispense the heat output to the operating medium via a second coupling surface. The heat output can be transmitted from the heating element to the operating medium in a significantly indirect manner via the housing.

  • Patent number: 10189459
Abstract: A method for operating a vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle has at least one torque transmission device which when rotating splashes in a fluid, at least two axles each having at least two wheels and at least one controllable coupling device adapted for selectively coupling or decoupling the torque transmission device with at least one of the wheels. The method includes the steps of: in an operating state in which no torque is requested by a driver of the vehicle, decoupling with the control device the torque transmission device and the at least one wheel when a driving speed of the vehicle is greater than or equal to a predetermined speed threshold value and coupling with the control device the torque transmission device and the at least one wheel for torque transmission when the driving speed is smaller than the predetermined speed threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20190001889
Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes front, rear, driver-side camera and passenger-side cameras each having a respective field of view exterior of the vehicle. Each of the cameras connects with a central video/image processor via a respective mono coaxial cable. Image data captured by the imaging sensor of each camera is carried as captured to the central video/image processor via said the respective mono coaxial cable as a Low Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS). The central video/image processor generates an output provided to a video display device of the vehicle, with the video display device having a video display screen viewable by a driver of the vehicle. The video display screen is operable to display a birds-eye view of an area around the vehicle. The birds-eye view of the area around the vehicle is derived, at least in part, from image data captured by the imaging sensors of the cameras.

  • Patent number: 10071687
Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes multiple cameras disposed at a vehicle each having a field of view exterior of the vehicle. A display device is operable to display, for viewing by a driver of the vehicle, at least one of (a) video images captured by at least some of the cameras and (b) a composite image formed from image data captured by at least some of the cameras. The image data captured by at least some of the cameras is sent to a central video/image processor and the sent image data is substantially unmodified and is as captured by the respective ones of the camera or cameras. At least one of the cameras may have a tunable lens. The camera may provide almost raw image data to the display device and a graphic engine may run as a routine at the display device.

  • Patent number: 10017127
Abstract: A camera having a housing, an optical system and an electrical image sensor, particularly for applications in the exterior region of motor vehicles, limits or prevents undesirable influences from moisture penetrating the camera or the housing. This is achieved by virtue of there being channels provided for air circulation in an interior of the optical system on the basis of the heating of air in the housing by operation of the image sensor, with the channels channeling air around lenses of the optical system. The channels may be along an internal wall of a lens frame of the optical system, and the channels may extend from an end portion of the lens frame at or near the image sensor to an internal space within the lens frame and between two adjacent lens elements of the optical system.

  • Patent number: 9737948
Abstract: A method is disclosed for connecting two components by TIG welding, the components consisting of an air-hardening steel alloy and, for example, of the material T23 or T24. A joint is produced between the components that are to be connected, said joint widening, in particular, from an inside toward an outside. First, a root layer is welded in the region of the inside. Subsequently, a fill layer adjoining the root layer is welded, so that the joint is at least 90% filled. Finally, a cover layer is welded onto the fill layer, whereby the welding parameters are prespecified in such a manner that a temperature in an optimizing temperature range is adjusted on the inside in the region of the root layer.
