  • Publication number: 20160075459
Abstract: A method for handling elongated articles wherein the articles are removed from a hopper, combined to form a group of articles, and supplied as a group of articles to a packaging process, wherein the formation of the articles in the group corresponds to the formation of the articles in the packaging process. The articles are removed from the hopper and are transferred to a pocket of a first intermediate conveyor as part groups with layers of several articles, wherein the number of layers of articles in the pocket of the first intermediate conveyor is smaller than the number of layers of articles in the group, and the part groups are transferred from the first intermediate conveyor to a second intermediate conveyor, and several part groups are transferred together as a group from the second intermediate conveyor to a removal conveyor, which supplies the group to a packaging device.

  • Patent number: 7568196
Abstract: A method and a system for selecting a desired language for text displays in a Java-Type language is provided. A localization class in the loadable Java program defines the text portions of the displays. At start of the application, the Java virtual machine loads this class and a determination is made, by user input or otherwise, of which of a group of languages available should be used for the text. Based on the determination, the static initializer Java-type code is invoked, and it loads the appropriate language text from a markup language document, preferably an XML document. The appropriate text segments from the markup language document are then used to initialize the variables. The application then can proceed to run as usual. Preferably, after the static initialization, the fields of the localization class are checked to confirm that all fields contain text.

  • Publication number: 20070115845
Abstract: An example method for time-out handling comprises establishing a session from a network-based application at a client to a web server. The method includes identifying a time-out parameter for the web server. A timestamp of the established session is saved at the client. The method also includes determining a first time-out by adding the identified time-out parameter to the timestamp and triggering a system-based communication from the network-based application to keep the session alive. The method may be implemented by a client of a learning management system.

  • Publication number: 20070111185
Abstract: A method for versioning learning objects comprises identifying learning content, which includes a plurality of learning objects, for storage in a content repository. Each learning object comprises or contains at least one content file. The method then includes comparing first version information of a first of the content files to versioning information obtained from an object version file identifying a prior version of the particular learning object. In response to at least a portion of the first version information of the first content file matching a corresponding portion of the versioning information stored in the object version file, a pointer to a corresponding content file in the prior version of the learning object is stored in a new object version file.
