  • Patent number: 10032589
Abstract: An actuating device for a vacuum switching tube has a connecting element which can be connected to an electric contact of the vacuum switching tube, an electromagnetic actuating device for displacing the connecting element between a first and a second position, and a retaining yoke, relative to which the connecting element can be displaced and has a first magnetic element. The first magnetic element generates a first and a second magnetic circuit in the retaining yoke. The actuating device further has a ferromagnetic retaining anchor, which is arranged on the connecting element. The retaining anchor is located in the first position of the connecting element in the first magnetic circuit and in the second position of the connecting element in the second magnetic circuit. The connecting element is held in the first and in the second position by a respective magnetic force between the retaining yoke and the retaining anchor.

  • Patent number: 9806532
Abstract: A method for switching an operating current in a meshed DC voltage network enables operating currents in a DC voltage network to be switched economically in both directions. At least one converter connected to the DC voltage network is controlled in such a way that a zero current is generated in a switching branch having a mechanical switch and the mechanical switch is actuated in accordance with the generated zero current.

  • Publication number: 20160315467
Abstract: An apparatus switches a direct current in a high-voltage line. The apparatus contains a multiplicity of switching units, which are arranged so as to form a series circuit in the high-voltage line. Each switching unit in this case contains a switching element and a surge arrester arranged in a parallel circuit with the switching element, the threshold voltage of the surge arrester being higher than a rated voltage of the switching element. A sum of the rated voltages of the switching elements corresponds at least to an operating voltage of the high-voltage line. The switching elements are mechanical switches, and each mechanical switch contains a contact arrangement having two disconnectable contact pieces and is configured to build up an arcing voltage on disconnection of the contact pieces with a magnitude which is higher than the rated voltage of the mechanical switch.

  • Publication number: 20160108458
Abstract: Proximity Ligation Assay for RNA (PLAYR) provides cost-efficient detection of specific nucleic acids in single cells, and may be combined with flow cytometry to simultaneously analyze large numbers of cells for a plurality of nucleic acids, e.g. at least one, to up to 5, up to 10, up to 15, up to 20 or more transcripts can be simultaneously analyzed, at a rate of up to about 50, 100, 250, 500 or more cells/second. An advantage of PLAYR includes the ability to simultaneously analyze multiple nucleic acids and proteins in single cells, as the method is compatible with conventional antibody staining for proteins, intracellular phosphorylation sites, and other cellular antigens. This enables the simultaneous detection of multiple nucleic acid molecules in combination with additional cellular parameters.

  • Patent number: 8657248
Abstract: A supporting apparatus for a thin electronic product is composed of a main body having a chamber, a plurality of fillers received in the chamber, an external lateral surface, and a locating portion located on the external lateral surface. The thin electronic product can be visibly fastened to the external lateral surface by the locating portion. Because the supporting apparatus can be firmly put on a surface and define a predetermined angle with respect to the surface, while the thin electronic product is fixed to the external lateral surface of the main body, the thin electronic product can define the predetermined angle with respect to the surface to allow the user to conveniently operate the thin electronic product.

  • Patent number: 7724996
Abstract: An optical two-channel rotary joint that is also suitable for coupling of single-mode fibers comprises two housing parts that are rotatable relative to each other. Each of these housing parts accommodates a light-waveguide for supplying light and a light-waveguide for withdrawing light. The arrangement has two optical paths adapted to operate in opposite directions, with each light-waveguide for supplying light being coupled with a light-waveguide for withdrawing light. Furthermore, one focuser is disposed on each of the light-waveguides for supplying light, which focuses the light of the light-waveguide for supplying light onto the corresponding light-waveguide for withdrawing light.
