Publication number: 20050160673Abstract: A flap drive for a flap includes two identical lever joint arrangements which are arranged in pairs at a distance from one another. The flap can be moved out of its closing position into its opening position and back by the flap drive. In this case, the lever joint arrangements are articulated pivotably with one of their ends in each case on a side region of the flap and with their other ends at a fixed location on the motor vehicle. The mutually corresponding pivot axes of the articulation points extend coaxially to one another. Movement transmission devices for the pivotable drive of a driven lever of each lever joint arrangement are guided by a common motive drive unit, the driven levers being articulated at a fixed location on the motor vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 5, 2004Publication date: July 28, 2005Inventors: Michael Kleinmann, Andreas Ritter

Publication number: 20040159170Abstract: An actuating device includes a base part and a part which can be moved and is coupled to the base part in a manner such that it can pivot about a pivot axis. A driving device has a cable which can be wound up on a cable drum to drive the movement of the part which can be moved. The driving device has a pull/push rod which is coupled by its one end to the part which can be moved at a distance from the pivot axis and is guided movably by its second end along a guide path, which extends approximately at right angles to the pivot axis, on the base part. Patent number: 6600285Abstract: An actuating system includes a driving device fixed to a base part and operatively connected to a movable part. A sensor detects the rotational speed of the movable part at a reference measuring location, and a control system forms a differential of the rotational speed with respect to the time. The formed differential is compared in a comparison unit with a stored differential value which corresponds to a measuring point on a route of movement of the movable part. An obstacle is recognized when there is a difference above a threshold value between the formed differential and the associated stored value.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2001Date of Patent: July 29, 2003Assignee: Stabilus GmbHInventors: Rolf Mintgen, Ralf Rissel, Andreas Ritter

Patent number: 6530758Abstract: A membrane seal for a multi-part fluid pump housing discharging windshield washer fluid from reservoir includes a one-piece, rigid carrier and a resilient seal member molded onto the rigid member to seal two pump housing parts. Resilient material also over molded over at least one flow aperture in the carrier to form a check valve to control fluid flow between an inlet and an outlet of the pump housing. Resilient material also is molded over another aperture in the carrier to form a pump motor shaft seal. In a construction method, the resilient material forming the peripheral seal, the check valve and the pump motor shaft seal is over molded in a single process step over the carrier.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2001Date of Patent: March 11, 2003Assignee: Valeo Electrical Systems, Inc.Inventors: Andreas Ritter, Mark M. Patent number: 6179100Abstract: A piston-cylinder unit, comprising a cylinder which is subdivided by a piston on a piston rod into two working chambers. Between the two working chambers, there is a fluid connection which can be blocked by means of a valve arrangement having at least two individual closing valves arranged in series, each with a valve inflow side and a valve outflow side. The valves open sequentially. In the flow path between the individual valves, there is a throttle arrangement which produces a pressure reduction between the valve outflow side of the first closing valve towards the valve inflow side of the following closing valve. As the opening of the first closing valve increases, the effect of the throttle arrangement decreases; to the same extent, the pressurization increases on the valve inflow side of the following closing valve. The valve arrangement features two flow-through directions and is made so that each can be blocked.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 1998Date of Patent: January 30, 2001Assignee: Stabilus GmbHInventors: Rolf Mintgen, Wolfgang Rothe, Dirk Rennecke, Andreas Ritter, Marco Gehlen
