    Abstract: A process kit enclosure system includes walls and a retention device structure. The retention device structure includes a retention device post and a retention device fin. The retention device fin in a first position is disposed above and secures a process kit ring supported in the interior volume of the process kit enclosure system. The retention device fin is rotated from the first position to be in a second position to be outside a boundary of the process kit ring. The retention device post is aligned with and inserts into a recess formed by a top cover of the process kit enclosure system responsive to the retention device post being in the first position. The retention device post is misaligned with and blocked from inserting into the recess formed by the top cover responsive to the retention device post of the retention device structure being in the second position.

    Abstract: Embodiments described herein generally related to a substrate processing apparatus. In one embodiment, a process kit for a substrate processing chamber disclosed herein. The process kit includes a ring having a first ring component and a second ring component, a sliding ring, and an actuating mechanism. The first ring component is interfaced with the second ring component such that the second ring component is movable relative to the first ring component forming a gap therebetween. The sliding ring is positioned beneath the ring and contacts a bottom surface of the second ring component. A top surface of the sliding ring contacts the second ring component. The actuating mechanism is interfaced with the bottom surface of the sliding ring. The actuating mechanism is configured to actuate the sliding ring such that the gap between the first ring component and the second ring component varies.

In one embodiment, a method of using a process kit for a substrate processing chamber disclosed herein. A plasma is formed above the substrate and a tilt and height of an edge ring is adjusted with a controller. The controller is coupled to a movement assembly having one of three linear actuators for tilting a sliding ring interfaced with the edge ring to change a direction of ions at one edge of the substrate.

    Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a method and apparatus for determining a metric related to erosion of a ring assembly used in an etching within a plasma processing chamber. In one example, the apparatus is configured to obtain a metric indicative of erosion on an edge ring disposed on a substrate support assembly in a plasma processing chamber. A sensor obtains the metric for the edge ring. The metric correlates to the quantity of erosion in the edge ring. In another example, the ring sensor may be arranged outside of a periphery of a substrate support assembly. The metric may be acquired by the ring sensor through a plasma screen.

The main control unit is arranged to determine a common curve with a radius, along which common curve the ego vehicle is assumed to travel, determine a measured oncome direction of the oncoming vehicle on the common curve, corresponding to an oncome angle, determine a difference angle between the measured oncome direction and an oncome direction corresponding to if the oncoming vehicle would be moving along the common curve, compare the difference angle with a threshold angle, and to determine that the oncoming vehicle is crossing if the difference angle exceeds the threshold angle.
