  • Patent number: 9587549
Abstract: An air gap-insulated exhaust manifold (10) for a supercharged internal combustion engine (1), preferably of a motor vehicle has an engine flange (11) fastening the exhaust manifold to an engine block (2) and a turbine flange (12) fastening the exhaust manifold to a turbine (8) of an exhaust gas turbocharger (7). Two inner pipes (13, 14) lead from an inlet opening, for exhaust gas, adjacent to the engine flange to an outlet opening (18), for exhaust gas, adjacent to the turbine flange. An outer pipe (15) envelopes the two inner pipes, forming an air gap insulation (21), and extends from the engine flange to the turbine flange. A separation partition (16) separates, in the interior space (22) of the outer pipe, two interior spaces (23, 24), in which one each of the two inner pipes is arranged. Reduced wear is achieved with the partition arranged loosely at the turbine flange.

  • Publication number: 20160243668
Abstract: A device for producing a non-cylindrical inner surface of a bore having machining tools arranged along the bore's circumference and can be radially advanced towards the bore's inner surface includes a primary advancing system having an axially movable advancing rod for actuating the machining tools, thus exerting a primary force onto a machining tool, which is radially advanceable towards the bore by the primary force, which is dynamically superimposed with a secondary force generated by a secondary advancing system that forms an integral unit together with the primary advancing system or can be constructed in a modular manner. The secondary advancing system activates dependent on a current rotational movement and/or a stroke movement of the primary advancing system, a current tool position, or a specified advancing force, or the secondary advancing system activates at a specified time. In the process, the tool is already widened by the primary advancement.

  • Patent number: 8931523
Abstract: The invention relates to a tank venting system for a fuel tank (12) of a vehicle, having a vent line (14) for discharge of gaseous hydrocarbons from the fuel tank (12) during refueling thereof. Gaseous hydrocarbons originating from the fuel tank (12) can be introduced in a filler pipe (20) of the fuel tank (12) via a recirculation line (24). A control device (34) controls a proportional valve (32) and changes in this way a pass-through cross section of the recirculation line (24). In this way, a load of an activated charcoal filter (16) which is coupled with the vent line (14) can be minimized. The control device (34) can especially determine a pressure in the fuel tank (12).
