  • Patent number: 8479497
Abstract: The invention provides for a method for operating an SCR catalytic converter for the aftertreatment of exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine, wherein a reducing agent tank (1) with reducing agent and a reducing agent metering device (8) are provided. The reducing agent tank (1) has at least one tank heater (3) having PTC characteristics. A variable characterizing the heater current is acquired for detecting cavities (10) in the reducing agent tank (1) when the reducing agent is frozen. The presence of cavities is suggested from a deviation of the acquired value or values for the variable characterizing the heater current from a predeterminable reference value, which represents a reducing agent tank without cavities.

  • Publication number: 20120123724
Abstract: Additional circuitry is included in an input cell design structure for an integrated circuit to detect and report transitions on an input that was expected to be stable, and to store that event for later analysis. Two or more modified input cells may have their error indications daisy-chained together to minimize additional routing. The storage elements may be included in a scan chain to allow for isolation of which input had the unexpected transition.

  • Publication number: 20120048259
Abstract: The solar installation (10) according to the invention having a collector array (K) and a heat storage container (20) has a drain-back holding device (24) which is integrated with a heat exchanger (22), which is located in the container (20), in that its upper area has an expansion and return volume. It is preferably in the form of an integral pipe coil (R), which is a smooth-pipe helix with a uniform gradient. Furthermore, a second heat exchanger (34) can be arranged, coaxially with respect to it. The pipe coil (R) has means, at least in the lower area, for reducing the free flow cross section in the pipe interior (32), specifically cylindrical or profiled, fixed or moving filling bodies (30) which, for example, are individual bodies, which are closed at the end, with a standard form which promotes swirling, and/or which may be composed of a material of high thermal capacity, such as steel, stone, ceramic or the like.

  • Patent number: 8075179
Abstract: A procedure for a reasonability check of the signal of a temperature sensor that is arranged in a reducing tank, in particular a HWL-tank, is thereby characterized, in that the tank level is detected by a tank level sensor that is arranged almost at the same filling level position as the temperature sensor, in that the tank level sensor signal is compared to the temperature sensor signal and then, if default tank level sensor signals correlate within default limits with default temperature sensor signal values, a functioning temperature sensor and/or a functioning tank level sensor are indicated.

  • Publication number: 20110284125
Abstract: The invention relates to a tank venting system for a fuel tank (12) of a vehicle, having a vent line (14) for discharge of gaseous hydrocarbons from the fuel tank (12) during refueling thereof. Gaseous hydrocarbons originating from the fuel tank (12) can be introduced in a filler pipe (20) of the fuel tank (12) via a recirculation line (24). A control device (34) controls a proportional valve (32) and changes in this way a pass-through cross section of the recirculation line (24). In this way, a load of an activated charcoal filter (16) which is coupled with the vent line (14) can be minimized. The control device (34) can especially determine a pressure in the fuel tank (12). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method of venting a fuel tank (12) during refueling thereof.

  • Patent number: 8001501
Abstract: A method for designing a circuit. The method includes (i) providing a netlist of a design and (ii) dividing the netlist into N user logics, N being a positive integer. After said dividing the netlist is performed, the N user logics in N macro test wrappers are instantiated resulting in N instantiated logics. After said instantiating the N user logics is performed, the N instantiated logics are processed. After said processing is performed, a result of said processing is back-annotated to the netlist.
