  • Publication number: 20200151848
Abstract: A system and method for surface profiling via a projection system, such as a position enabled projector. By way of example, a three-dimensional representation of a physical object, such as an uneven surface of the object, may be generated and profiled. The three-dimensional representation may be a 3D point cloud, a surface mesh, or any other suitable type of representation. A two-dimensional image to be projected onto the surface may undergo an image transformation based on the generated 3D representation of the surface. The transformed image is then projected onto the surface, where the image points projected are at their true positions with true scale. Moreover, the projected image may be automatically updated when the projector is moved to a new position.

  • Publication number: 20190154443
Abstract: A method for measuring a measurement distance between a rotating laser, which emits a first laser beam that can be rotated about a rotational axis and/or a stationary second laser beam, and a laser receiver, which has a detection field with a measurement function. The rotating laser is inclined in a direction of inclination by an inclination angle. The position of incidence of the inclined laser beam on the detection field of the laser receiver is determined as a measurement point. The distance between the measurement point and a zero position of the detection field is stored as the height, and the measurement distance between the rotating laser and the laser receiver is determined using the inclination angle and the height.

  • Publication number: 20190137559
Abstract: In a multi-phase power grid fed by a power source, earth fault (460) is located by means of a power supply source synchronized with the power grid, which is connected between a zero point of the grid and earth. In a fault current compensation mode (420), a control unit controls the alternating voltage source to compensate for any ground fault current in the power grid to a value below a threshold level. In a fault detecting mode (430), the control unit gradually adjusts the output voltage of the alternating voltage source with respect to amplitude and/or phase angle (440). A change of zero-sequence current and zero-sequence admittance between the alternating voltage source and a fault location is measured (450) by means of at least one detector. The at least one detector is communicatively connected to the control unit and reports recorded measured values representing zero-sequence current and/or zero-sequence admittance to the control unit.

  • Patent number: 10260097
Abstract: Methods and compositions are provided for the identification of a molecular diagnostic test for cancer. The test identifies cancer subtypes that are responsive to anti-angiogenesis therapeutics and enables classification of a patient within this subtype. The present invention can be used to determine whether patients with cancer are clinically responsive or non-responsive to a therapeutic regimen prior to administration of any anti-angiogenic agent. This test may be used in different cancer types and with different drugs that directly or indirectly affect angiogenesis or angiogenesis signalling. In addition, the present invention may be used as a prognostic indicator for certain cancer types. In particular, the present invention is directed to the use of certain combinations of predictive markers, wherein the expression of the predictive markers correlates with responsiveness or non-responsiveness to a therapeutic regimen.

  • Patent number: 10228246
Abstract: A method for calibrating a measurement device by a target object is disclosed. Prior to calibrating the measurement device the suitability of the target object is inspected by multiple evaluation criteria. The calibration of the measurement device by the target object is only performed if the target object meets all evaluation criteria. To evaluate the target object, a camera device takes an image of the target object without using a laser beam and an image of the target object with using a laser beam, with the images then evaluated by image processing and object identification procedures.
