  • Patent number: 10066034
Abstract: Improved Ziegler-Natta catalysts and methods of making the improved catalyst are described. The Ziegler-Natta catalyst is formed using a spherical MgCl2-xROH support, where R is a linear, cyclic or branched hydrocarbon unit with 1-10 carbon atoms and where ROH is an alcohol or a mixture of at least two different alcohols and where x has a range of about 1.5 to 6.0, preferably about 2.5 to 4, more preferably about 2.9 to 3.4, and even more preferably 2.95 to 3.35. The Ziegler-Natta catalyst includes a Group 4-8 transition metal and an internal donor comprising a diether compound. The catalyst has improved activity in olefin polymerization reactions as well as good stereoregularity and hydrogen sensitivity, and may be useful in the production of phthalate-free propylene polymers having a molecular weight distribution (PI(GPC)) in the range from about 5.75 to about 9.

  • Patent number: 10048378
Abstract: A method and device for determining position coordinates of a target object is disclosed. The method includes positioning a target device on the target object, transmitting a laser beam onto the target device, reflecting the laser beam off of the target device, recording an image of the target device by a camera device with the reflected laser beam as a light reflection in the image, and determining a focus of the light reflection in the image. The reflected laser beam is received and a distance to the target object is calculated from the received beam. A first offset is calculated from a focal length of the camera device, the calculated distance to the target object, and a first image coordinate of the focus of the light reflection in the image. The position coordinates of the target object are calculated from the distance and the first offset.

  • Publication number: 20180210085
Abstract: A method and device for determining positional coordinates of a target object is disclosed. The method includes positioning a target on the target object, transmitting a laser beam at the target, and reflecting the laser beam off of the target. The method further includes taking an image of the target by a camera with the reflected laser beam as a light reflex in the image, where a viewing direction of the camera is inclined at an elevation angle to the measurement plane, and determining a focus of the light reflex in the image. Additionally, the method includes calculating a first distance and a second distance from a focal length of the camera, the elevation angle, and a first image coordinate and a second image coordinate of the focus of the light reflex. The positional coordinates of the target object are calculated from the first distance and the second distance.

  • Patent number: 10000589
Abstract: A method for making a solid catalyst component for use in a Ziegler-Natta catalyst includes combining in a hydrocarbon solvent a porous particulate support with a hydrocarbon soluble organomagnesium compound to form a suspension. The organomagnesium compound is halogenated followed by addition of an alcohol and the mixture is then reacted with a titanium compound followed by a reaction with at least one diether compound to form the solid catalyst component. Afterwards the reaction product is extracted with a mixture of a titanium compound and a hydrocarbon solvent. The solid catalyst component recovered is combined with an aluminum cocatalyst to form a Ziegler-Natta catalyst system for the polymerization of olefins. In particular, the catalyst system including a diether internal electron donor may have an activity and hydrogen response suitable for the production of propylene polymers having a molecular weight distribution (PI(GPC)) in the range from about 5.75 to about 9.

  • Patent number: 9936181
Abstract: A system for projecting an image, including layout information, on a surface in a building under construction has a projector mounted on a moveable support for supporting a worker at a work position in the building. The projector projects an image on a surface above the moveable support in response to an image signal defining the image to be projected. The image indicates the location of connectors, anchors, and holes to be affixed to, or cut through, the surface. A system determines the two dimensional position of the projector in the building, and a distance measuring system for determines the distance from the projector to said surface. A processor, responsive to a memory having stored building plan images, provides an image signal to the projector adjusted for the two dimensional location of the projector and for the distance from the projector to the surface.
