  • Patent number: 12243236
Abstract: Presented herein are systems and methods that provide for automated analysis of three-dimensional (3D) medical images of a subject in order to automatically identify specific 3D volumes within the 3D images that correspond to specific anatomical regions (e.g., organs and/or tissue). Notably, the image analysis approaches described herein are not limited to a single particular organ or portion of the body. Instead, they are robust and widely applicable, providing for consistent, efficient, and accurate detection of anatomical regions, including soft tissue organs, in the entire body. In certain embodiments, the accurate identification of one or more such volumes is used to automatically determine quantitative metrics that represent uptake of radiopharmaceuticals in particular organs and/or tissue regions. These uptake metrics can be used to assess disease state in a subject, determine a prognosis for a subject, and/or determine efficacy of a treatment modality.

  • Patent number: 12241255
Abstract: An assembly supports external masonry veneer. A bracket mounts to a load bearing wall support structure. A shelf angle has a horizontal leg that defines a shelf for the veneer, and an upstanding leg supported by mounting brackets that secure the assembly to the wall structure. The horizontal shelf is segmented. The back of the shelf angle flexes between the segments to allow the shelf angle to follow the shape of a curve wall. The shelf angle is secured to the mounting brackets with locking clips. The mounting brackets may be channels. They may have lower abutments. The abutments may extend rearwardly. An insulator may be placed between the back and structure. The mounting bracket may have lightening holes. The lightening holes may be in a framework array including alternating diagonal struts. A low thermal conductivity coating may be applied to the bracket.

  • Patent number: 12239601
Abstract: The invention relates to a cabin for steam-bathing individuals, into which fresh air is admitted and waste air is discharged during the operation, and steam is thereby admitted at least temporarily and foam is admitted simultaneously or alternately, so that the individuals located in said cabin are bathed simultaneously in steam and in foam. The simultaneous bathing of individuals in steam and in foam provides physical relaxation and cleanses the skin. A method for operating the cabin is also claimed. The foam is thereby admitted into the lower part of the cabin, and the steam is admitted into the upper part of the cabin. In a preferred embodiment of the method, the foam is admitted into the cabin at such a level that the individuals sitting on the seating area of the cabin sit in a carpet of foam.

  • Patent number: 12240960
Abstract: A thixotropic agent for increasing the yield point of a curable composition, wherein the thixotropic agent includes (i) at least one urea compound from the reaction of at least one isocyanate with at least one amine and (ii) at least one polyether having blocked hydroxyl groups. The thixotropic agent is preparable in a simple manner and forms a spreadable paste which is firm at room temperature. It is particularly suitable as a constituent of moisture-curing polyurethane or SMP compositions, giving a good increase in the yield point thereof, without adversely affecting storage stability or migration characteristics. It enables phthalate-free adhesives, sealants or coatings that have surprisingly good conveyability coupled with a high yield point, and do not cause any problems with odor or fogging.

  • Patent number: 12244344
Abstract: In a multi-cell wireless communication system (100) with at least one optical access point (120) and at least one radio frequency access point (120), more flexibility is provided to an end device (110) in selecting an access point (120) for establishing a data link. Because of the line-of-sight characteristic of an optical link and the limited field of view of an optical receiver, optical cells are typically deployed with a relatively high density and adjacent optical cells may have an overlapping area. This invention discloses a method of an end device (110) for selecting a favorable access point (120) with reduced overhead, even when the end device is located in the overlapping area of two adjacent optical cells.

  • Patent number: 12239792
Abstract: Disclosed are methods for measuring and controlling the gas temperature in medical procedures. In embodiments of the disclosed methods a gas is supplied to a patient using a gas supply device and a supply line. A heating system heats the gas using a heating wire prior to the gas being provided to the patient. A controller electrically controls the heating power of the heating wire based on an estimated value of a temperature at an exit of the heating system obtained from a mathematical estimation system, wherein a resistance of the heating wire is an input variable of the mathematical estimation system.

  • Patent number: 12242120
Abstract: In order to simplify mounting and cabling of optoelectronic plug connectors (3, 3?) and—equipped therewith—subdistribution units (6) and subdistribution systems, the use of special module housings (100) is proposed. The latter can accommodate a plurality of, in particular eight, identical and/or different optoelectronic transducers (2, 2?) and are installed in the plug connectors (3, 3?) between the electrical plug contacts (311) and the multi-core optical cables (58), i.e. the cores (51) thereof. Susceptibility to errors is considerably improved as a result and mounting is significantly simplified as a result of the improved clarity.

  • Patent number: 12241946
Abstract: A system and method for measuring a capacitance value of a capacitor are provided. In embodiments, a resistor is coupled to a terminal of the capacitor. A difference in voltage at the terminal between a first time and a second time during a discharge routine of the capacitor is measured. The discharge routine includes sinking a current through a discharge circuit coupled to the resistor from first to second. Integration of a difference in voltage at terminals of the resistor during the discharge routine between the first and second times is also measured. The capacitance value is computed based on the measured difference in voltage, the measured integration, and the resistance value of the resistor. The health of the capacitor is determined based on a difference between the computed capacitance value and a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 12242411
Abstract: A technique for providing error detection during simplex serial data transmission, as well as associated methods and systems, are disclosed. The technique is based on a readback of the serially transmitted data on the external single wire bus. The readback data is internally processed and compared to the intended transmission data. An error is flagged where the intended and the actual data are not the same. One advantage of this technique is that it can be wrapped around an existing SENT hardware, thereby improving diagnostic coverage while not affecting the SENT protocol implementation itself.
