  • Publication number: 20120231860
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment includes an antenna arrangement for a portable radio communication device comprising at least a first radiating element and a ground plane means. The antenna arrangement comprises a first conductor, which first conductor in a first point is electrically connected to the ground plane means through a high pass filter means and in a first end is open ended. A second end of the first conductor is connected to a FM receiver, FM transmitter, or FM transceiver.

  • Publication number: 20120162027
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are disclosed of antenna arrangements for portable radio communication devices. In an exemplary embodiment, there is an antenna arrangement for a portable communication device having a metal casing. A front side part forms a ground plane means for the portable radio communication device. A first back side part is connected to the front side part through a top side part. A second back side part is connected to the front side part through a bottom side part. The top and bottom side parts are positioned at opposite ends of the front side part. The first and second back side parts are positioned and distanced from each other by a gap. A magnetic type antenna element is positioned partly in the gap and positioned partly over or along the first back side part, the top side part, or the front side part.

  • Publication number: 20120112980
Abstract: According to various aspects, exemplary embodiments are provided of multiple-turn loop antenna arrangements or assembly. An exemplary embodiment of an antenna assembly generally includes a multiple-turn loop element arranged in a first layer and a planar element arranged in a second layer. The first and second layers are arranged in parallel and the multiple-turn loop element is arranged on top of the planar element. The multiple-turn loop element has a thickness in the order of or more than the skin depth at a first frequency band for the multiple-turn loop antenna and the planar element has a thickness in the order of or less than the skin depth at a second higher frequency band.

  • Publication number: 20110241967
Abstract: An antenna assembly generally includes an antenna element, an amplifier, and an electronics protection system coupled generally between the antenna element and the amplifier. In operation, the electronics protection system may filter cross-talk, protect against electrostatic discharge, and/or suppress radiated spurious emissions. The electronics protection system may include first and second inductors disposed in series generally between the antenna element and the amplifier. First and second diodes may be disposed generally between the first and second inductors.

  • Publication number: 20100302114
Abstract: The present invention relates to an antenna device for a portable radio communication device adapted for receiving and/or transmitting radio signals in at least a first and a second operating frequency band, said antenna device comprising a half-loop radiating element, comprising a feeding portion and a grounding portion, and arranged to operate at FM frequencies. The antenna device comprises a capacitor at said feeding portion and an inductor at said grounding portion, and said half-loop radiating element is arranged to simultaneously with FM frequencies operate at frequencies at least ten times higher than FM frequencies, wherein said capacitor is arranged to short circuit said half-loop radiating element to ground for frequencies at least ten times higher than FM frequencies and said inductor is arranged to short circuit said half-loop radiating element to ground for FM frequencies.
