  • Patent number: 8624923
Abstract: Image fusion based on a modified method of frame averaging for noise removal by partly averaging over images having a smaller resolution than the desired resolution of the de-noised image. The set of images which are summed for averaging out noise consists of two subsets. The first set of images has a resolution (in terms of number of pixels) being smaller than the resolution of the images in the second set. The resolution of the images in the second set is the resolution of the ‘high-definition’ de-noised output image. The lower resolution images are up-sampled by scaling their pixel numbers to that desired output image. The gradation of the first set images is also adapted to avoid intensity saturation (flare) due to sommation. Image fusing is also done in fourier space using the high frequency components from the higher resolution images and the lower ones from the lower resolution images.

  • Patent number: 8599916
Abstract: The invention provides a solution for secure and non-manipulatable processing of a data stream in a receiver, possibly in conjunction with a smartcard. A packet identity and a content type identifier associated with the packet identifier are received in encrypted form and securely processed within the receiver to allow an encrypted payload of the data stream to be processed without the possibility to manipulate the content type identifier in an attempt to intercept the payload after decryption.

  • Patent number: 8595854
Abstract: Methods and a systems are described for processing recordable content in a broadcast stream sent to a receiver, wherein said broadcast stream is protected in accordance with a conditional access system and wherein said receiver is configured for storing and consuming content in said broadcast stream in accordance with a digital rights management system. In this methods and systems recording information is sent in one or more entitlement control messages over a broadcast network to a receiver. Using the recording information in the entitlement control messages the receiver is able to store recordable events in a broadcast stream on a storage medium and to consume said recorded events in accordance with a digital rights management system.

  • Patent number: 8582814
Abstract: In an image processing method a sequence of at least two image frames is provided and a motion vector representing relative movement of at least a part of said image frames is calculated. At least said part in the image frames is repositioned in accordance with the calculated motion vector, and the image frames are combined to form a combined image frame. The image frames are divided into blocks and a block motion vector representing relative movement of each block is calculated. Each block is repositioned in accordance with the calculated block motion vector and the blocks are combined to form combined blocks in order to obtain the combined image frame.

  • Publication number: 20130297737
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and system for watermarking in a content providing system having multiple parties. A first party system selects a first party watermark by selecting a watermarked copy of at least one first content element of the content elements. A second party system selects a second party watermark by selecting a watermarked copy of at least one second content element, different from the at least one first content element, of the content elements. Watermarked content is delivered to an end user device, the watermarked content containing the watermarked copy for the first content element selected by the first party system and the watermarked copy for the second content element selected by the second party system such that the watermarked content contains the first party watermark and the second party watermark.

  • Publication number: 20130205132
Abstract: The invention provides for a solution enabling obtaining a control word in the client. The client device has a unique binary identification. An input transformed control word is mapped from an input transform domain to an output transform domain to thereby obtain an output transformed control word by successively applying a transformation function to the input transformed control word using each compound of seeds from the set successively as an input to the successive transformation functions. Each of the successive transformation functions is one of a regular transformation function, a first special transformation function and a second special transformation function. The obtained control word can be used to decrypt one of two copies of a part of content data. The copy that can be decrypted contains a watermark representing either a binary “0” or a binary “1” and represents a bit of the unique binary identification of the client device.

  • Publication number: 20130113988
Abstract: A method and a system for forming an image of a scene are provided. The method includes capturing an image of the scene by exposing an image sensor to radiation from one part of the EM spectrum using one aperture and to radiation from another part of the EM spectrum using another aperture having a different size than the first aperture. Simultaneously with capturing the image, the scene is illuminated with radiation from the second part of the EM spectrum. The image is then formed on the basis of image data generated by the radiation from the first part of the EM spectrum and image data generated by radiation from the second part of the EM spectrum.

  • Publication number: 20120042332
Abstract: The invention relates to a system and computer-implemented method for providing encrypted content to a particular recipient device of a plurality of recipient devices is disclosed. Copies of one or more content elements of the content are generated. Modified content elements are obtained by modifying one or more of the copies. The content elements, including the one or more modified copies of the content elements, are then stored in a storage. A sequence of content elements representing the content is retrieved from the storage for a particular recipient device of the plurality of recipient devices by selecting a particular modified copy for substantially each content element for which modified copies are available. The sequence of content elements is then encrypted for that particular recipient device. The encrypted sequence of content elements representing the encrypted content is sent to the particular recipient device.
