  • Patent number: 10913319
Abstract: A bicycle trailer pivot assembly can comprise first and second yoke arms with respective first and second end portions and a pivot coupling the first end portion of each yoke arm to a bicycle trailer frame. The first end portions the yoke arms comprise respective first and second hinge portions that interfit and that receive a hinge pin that couples the first end portions together and to the bicycle trailer frame for pivoting about an upright axis. The first and second hinge portion comprise respective stops positioned to engage one another to limit the maximum distance to which the second end portions of the first and second yoke arms can be spread apart. The first and second hinge portions can comprise respective stops that limit both the maximum and minimum spread apart positions of the second end portions of the yoke arms.

  • Patent number: 10902194
Abstract: Technology is disclosed herein for handing approximate (or uncertain) values in spreadsheet applications. More specifically, the technology describes spreadsheet applications that support arrays or sets of approximate (or uncertain) values as native entities. An approximate (or uncertain) value may be the value of a cell of the spreadsheet that is resolvable by formula, charts and other functionalities. In some implementations, approximate values may include a range of data and a probability distribution that can be automatically created by the spreadsheet application, generated based on context, input by the user, etc. Because the approximate (or uncertain) value is natively available, it can be incorporated in a spreadsheet like other values. Additionally, the approximate (or uncertain) values can automatically propagate through a spreadsheet calculation to obtain a final approximate result.

  • Publication number: 20210009942
Abstract: The present invention is directed generally to dry cell culture media or feeds in pellet formats which can be reconstituted into liquid media for culturing cells in vitro. Each pellet composition may comprise the same or a different composition; for example, different vitamins, amino acids, buffers, trace salts, pH, iron chelators, etc. The invention also relates to methods of making dry cell culture media by altering ratios of different pellet compositions, or, methods of making modular dry cell culture media, or customizing media formulations for growing a cell type using pellets. The media pellets may be easier to handle either before reconstitution, during shipping and handling; and/or during reconstitution. Media pellets may be used in any container like bags including sterile, single use bags for preparing media formulations. The invention also relates to kits and culture systems using media pellets.

  • Patent number: 10817336
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus comprising scheduling circuitry, which selects a task as a selected task to be performed from a plurality of queued tasks, each having an associated priority, in dependence on the associated priority of each queued task. Escalating circuitry increases the associated priority of each of the plurality of queued tasks after a period of time. The plurality of queued tasks comprises a time-sensitive task having an associated deadline and in response to the associated deadline being reached, the scheduling circuitry selects the time-sensitive task as the selected task to be performed.

  • Publication number: 20200302009
Abstract: Systems, methods, and software are disclosed herein for enhancing functions and formulas in spreadsheets. A computing apparatus detects a beginning of a formula in a cell of a spreadsheet. In response to detecting the beginning of the formula, the computing apparatus identifies one or more vector representations of a context of the cell and supplies the one or more vector representations as input to one or more machine learning models. The one or more machine learning models produce output comprising one or more suggested functions for the formula and one or more suggested operands, which the computing apparatus presents in a user interface to the spreadsheet.

  • Publication number: 20200262161
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and apparatus for automatic extrudate loading and alignment. An extrudate handling system includes a head end assembly and an imaging device (which may be part of the head end assembly). The imaging device is configured to image an end face of an extrudate, and generate, during translation of the extrudate, an imaging output signal indicative of a rotational position of the end face of the extrudate. The head end assembly includes a rotational effector to rotate the extrudate during translation thereof and a fixed effector rotationally fixed relative to a track. The extrudate handling system is able to determine the rotational position of the web angle of the extrudate and precisely adjust the rotational position while linearly translating the extrudate along the track. The extrudate handling system provides greater accuracy, reduced costs, and improved results.

  • Patent number: 10731339
Abstract: A modular, reusable temporary enclosure system is particularly suited for the renovation of buildings having stacked concrete floors supported by steel and/or concrete columns. The system consists of a set of track components, one fastened to the floor, and one fastened to the ceiling. Columns assembled from rigid panels are supported and aligned between these components. The panel edges are connected to one another by an interfacing spline assembly. To ensure that the components can be brought up to the construction site by elevator, individual panels are shorter than the full distance between the floors.

  • Publication number: 20200214838
Abstract: An improved holder and storage system for prosthetic heart valves that pre-shields or pre-constricts the commissure posts of the valve to prevent suture looping. Pre-shielding and pre-constriction mean at the time of manufacture, so that the valves are stored with the commissure posts shielded and/or constricted. The holders may have solid legs that directly contact and constrict and hold the commissure posts without the use of sutures in tension that might creep over the time in storage. The holder may have a base in contact with the inflow end and a shaft portion that projects through the valve leaflets and cooperates with movable legs on the outflow end of the valve in contact with the commissure posts. The holders may, alternatively, have flexible leg members that extend through the valve and have distal end portions configured to extend over and shield the tips of commissure posts.

  • Patent number: 10647379
Abstract: A bicycle trailer has a frame with a hitch portion that comprises first and second yoke arms with respective first end and second end portions. Skewer engagement latches can be coupled to the second end portions of the yoke arms. The skewer engagement latches can have stops that pivot between stop open and closed positions. In the stop open positions, respective end portions of a bicycle skewer can inserted into or separated from the latches. In the stop closed positions, respective end portions of the bicycle skewer, if positioned in respective latches, are retained coupled to the yoke arms by the latches. The stops are moved between open and closed positions by an actuator, such as by respective cable portions attached to the stop portions. Desirably the actuator simultaneously moves the stops between the open and closed positions. The latches can have skewer engagement surfaces that are least in part spherical.
