  • Publication number: 20210402676
Abstract: A monolayer multi-axial integral geogrid suitable for stabilizing aggregate includes a plurality of interconnected oriented strands and partially oriented junctions forming a repeating pattern of outer hexagons having an array of openings therein. Oriented ribs extending inwardly from each of said outer hexagons support and surround a smaller inner hexagon having oriented strands thus forming a plurality of trapezoidal openings and a single hexagonal opening. The oriented strands and partially oriented junctions of the outer hexagons form a plurality of linear strong axis strands that extend continuously throughout the entirety of the geogrid and form additional triangular openings. The geogrid thus includes three different repeating geometric shapes. The inner hexagons preferably also can move up and down, out of the plane of the geogrid. The multi-axial integral geogrid thus provides a geometry that can better engage with, confine and stabilize a greater variety and quality of aggregates.

  • Patent number: 11206433
Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for generating augmented videos are provided. First coordinates, of a first video frame of a video, may be determined for projection of a graphical object. A first plurality of keypoints on the first video frame may be determined based upon a set of objects. A second plurality of keypoints on a second video frame may be determined. A keypoint of the second plurality of keypoints may correspond to a keypoint of the first plurality of keypoints. A relationship between the first video frame and the second video frame may be determined based upon the first plurality of keypoints and the second plurality of keypoints. Second coordinates of the second video frame may be determined based upon the first coordinates and the relationship. The graphical object may be projected onto the second video frame based upon the second coordinates.

  • Patent number: 11200253
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided that enable immediate access to data associated with a source blob. The foregoing is achieved by creating a copy-on-read blob based on the source blob and a link blob based on the copy-on-read blob for each virtual machine to be deployed. When creating the copy-on-read blob, the source blob is not copied. Instead, data from the source blob is copied to the copy-on-read blob upon request by a virtual machine. Subsequent requests for that data are retrieved from the copy-on-read blob. Each link blob stores write data provided by its corresponding virtual machine. When a virtual machine requests data, its corresponding link blob is checked for the data. If the data is not stored therein, the copy-on-read blob is checked for the data. If the copy-on-read blob does not store the data, the data is retrieved from the source blob.

  • Patent number: 11187202
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a power generating apparatus for extracting energy from flowing water. The apparatus comprises a buoyancy vessel, and a turbine assembly coupled to the buoyancy vessel which comprises a turbine rotor mounted to a nacelle, and a support structure. The turbine assembly is pivotally moveable between a first position and a second position. When the power generating apparatus is floating on a body of water, in the first position the nacelle is fully submerged below the water surface; and in the second position at least a part of the nacelle projects above the water surface. Movement of the turbine assembly from the first position to the second position is buoyancy assisted, for example by providing the turbine assembly with positive buoyancy or selectively increasing its buoyancy.

  • Publication number: 20210308664
Abstract: Highly efficient and rapid filtration-based concentration devices, systems and methods are disclosed with sample fluidic lines and a filter packaged in a disposable tip which concentrates biological particles that are suspended in liquid from a dilute feed suspension. A sample concentrate or retentate suspension is retained while eliminating the separated fluid in a separate flow stream. The concentrate is then dispensed from the disposable tip in a set volume of elution fluid. Suspended biological particles include such materials as proteins/toxins, viruses, DNA, and/or bacteria in the size range of approximately 0.001 micron to 20 microns diameter. Concentration of these particles is advantageous for detection of target particles in a dilute suspension, because concentrating them into a small volume makes them easier to detect and identify. A single-use pipette tip includes fluid ports for aspirating the sample and connecting to a concentrating unit.

  • Publication number: 20210275218
Abstract: In one embodiment, an expander set includes a first and second expander. The first expander includes an outer surface having a first engagement feature and a groove and the second expander includes an inside surface having a second engagement feature adapted to engage with the first engagement feature. The inside surface of the second expander is shaped to correspond to a portion of the outer surface of the first expander. Additionally, the groove on the outer surface of the first expander is sized and shaped to accommodate a rod of a retraction system such that when the first expander is advanced within the retraction system, the rod remains within the groove. When the first and second expanders are engaged with one another, they define an oblong cross-section.

  • Patent number: 11055352
Abstract: Optimized query plans may be generated independent of the query engine that performs the optimized query plan. A request to generate an optimized query plan for a query may be received and a type of engine for performing the query may be identified. An initial plan may be generated in an engine-specific format for the type of engine that is translated into an optimization plan format. An analysis of the initial plan optimization plan format may be performed to generate an optimized query plan. The optimized query plan may be translated into the engine-specific format and sent in response to the request for the optimized query plan.

  • Publication number: 20210173961
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus are provided for processing packets received over Controller Area Network (CAN) interface where a CAN protocol controller computes a CRC value from header and payload values in a received CAN data frame to verify frame integrity of the received CAN data frame across a physical media layer, and then stores the header and payload values and the CRC value in a memory buffer of the CAN protocol controller so that a host core can compute a reconstructed CRC value from the header and payload values retrieved from the memory buffer, and then compare the reconstructed CRC value to the CRC value retrieved from the memory buffer to verify frame integrity of the received CAN data frame at a transaction layer.
