Publication number: 20250077993Abstract: A web platform hosting job postings uses a machine learning-driven approach to update user profile information for matching job postings with qualified job seekers. The web platform determines a job posting to serve to a job seeker device and, using a machine learning model trained to contextually evaluate job seeker user profile information against job postings, determines a high priority job qualification of the job posting that is missing from the user profile information. A representation that the job qualification is missing from the user profile information and a prompt asking whether the job seeker meets the job qualification are output within a job feed that includes information of the job posting. The web platform outputs an updated presentation of the job posting to the job seeker device to indicate, based on input obtained in response to the prompt, whether the job seeker is qualified for the job posting.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2023Publication date: March 6, 2025Inventors: Aaron Pigeon, Madeline Nowicki, Dana Langseth, Andrew Hudson

Patent number: 12215202Abstract: This document describes a process of producing gel microparticles, which are consistent in size and morphology. Through the process of coacervation, large volumes of gel microparticle slurry can be produced by scaling up reactor vessel size. Particles can be repeatedly dehydrated and rehydrated in accordance to their environment, allowing for the storage of particles in a non-solvent such as ethanol. Gel slurries exhibit a Bingham plastic behavior in which the slurry behaves as a solid at shear stresses that are below a critical value. Upon reaching the critical shear stress, the slurry undergoes a rapid decrease in viscosity and behaves as a liquid. The rheological behavior of these slurries can be adjusted by changing the compaction processes such as centrifugation force to alter the yield-stress. The narrower distribution and reduced size of these particles allows for an increase in FRESH printing fidelity.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2023Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: Carnegie Mellon UniversityInventors: Andrew Hudson, Thomas Hinton, Adam Feinberg, Andrew Lee

Publication number: 20240423319Abstract: A dual-layered midsole for footwear includes an internal midsole layer and an external midsole layer, which are coupled to and separated by a Strobel board. The internal midsole layer may compress and expand with the movement of a wearer of an article of footwear including the dual-layered midsole, while the external midsole may provide stability and cushion for the wearer. Materials selected for the internal and external midsole layers may provide tuned viscoelastic properties to different areas of the midsole as a function of midsole layer thickness at each sole area.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2024Publication date: December 26, 2024Inventors: Mark Arthur OLESON, Michael Andrew NOTRICA, Christopher Ka-Yin LAM, Michael STESZYN, Peter Andrew HUDSON

Publication number: 20240367382Abstract: Various systems and process for fabricating customized medical devices via the freeform reversible embedding of suspended hydrogels process are disclosed. The mechanical properties of the fabricated objects can be controlled according to the manner or orientation in which the structure material is deposited into the support material and the three-dimensional movement of the extruder assembly. Further, the dimensions of the fabricated objects can be validated by adding a contrast agent to the structure material, obtaining a three-dimensional reconstruction of the fabricated object, and then comparing the three-dimensional reconstruction to the computer model upon which the fabricated object is based. These and other techniques are described herein.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 9, 2024Publication date: November 7, 2024Inventors: Adam Feinberg, Andrew Hudson

Publication number: 20240351290Abstract: This document describes systems and method of embedded printing for additive manufacturing. A print material is printed into a support material. The print material and the support material each have a fluid phase and a solid phase. The print material transitions from the fluid phase to the solid phase based on a fluid-fluid interaction with the support material. One or more parameters of the support material can be adjusted to cause a diffusion rate of the print material into the support material during the fluid-fluid interaction to be less than a threshold value. Multiple print materials can be printed into the support material simultaneously.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 16, 2024Publication date: October 24, 2024Inventors: Andrew Hudson, Thomas Hinton, Adam Feinberg, Andrew Lee
