  • Patent number: 12387017
Abstract: The disclosure relate to detecting differences indicative of non-determinism in software used to control autonomous vehicles. For instance, a simulation may be run using the software at least two times. The output of the simulations may be tracked. The output of the simulations includes messages may be generated by a decision making module of the software that affect vehicle behavior. A pair of messages generated from each of the at least two times the simulation is run may be compared. Based on the comparison, a difference indicative of non-determinism in the software may be detected.

  • Publication number: 20240354296
Abstract: A system, apparatus and method for processing observational data for training a neural network model for use by a neural network. Observational data is parsed into raw data and metadata components and then stored separately. To train the model, a DETL query is used to identify any raw data that may be relevant to training the model. The DETL query is processed by a metadata storage system to match any relevant metadata which, in turn, identifies raw data stored in a raw data storage system. The identified raw data is used to train the neural network model, and a updated neural network model is produced. Each time the neural network model is trained, the relevant raw data and metadata used for each training run is stored in association with the model version so that a lineage of the training may be memorialized.

  • Patent number: 12032556
Abstract: A system, apparatus and method for processing observational data for training a neural network model for use by a neural network. Observational data is parsed into raw data and metadata components and then stored separately on a raw data storage system and a metadata storage system, respectively. A digital fingerprint may be generated and assigned to the raw data and the metadata, used to verify the integrity of the data. When it is desired to train a neural network model, a DETL query is generated and used to identify any raw data that may be relevant to training the neural network model. The DETL query is processed by the metadata storage system to match any metadata to search terms in the DETL which, in turn, identifies raw data stored in the raw data storage system. The identified raw data is used to train the neural network model, and a updated neural network model is produced.

  • Patent number: 11852492
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle may access portions of a map to maneuver a roadway. The map may be split into one or more levels that represent different regions in space. For example, an overpass may be represented by one level while the road below the overpass may be on a separate level. A vehicle traveling on a particular level may use map data that is associated with that level. Furthermore, if the vehicle travels through a warp zone, it may transition from the current level to a destination level and thus begin to use map data associated with the destination level.
