  • Publication number: 20250122929
Abstract: A pulley assembly having a body, a shaft mount and a plurality of bolts is disclosed. The body is aligned to the shaft mount by providing a tight tolerance between a shoulder portion of the bolt and a neck portion of a counter sunk hole formed in the body. Additionally, an outer surface of the body may have a pattern of friction lines or patches formed by fusing particulate matter to the outer surface with heat generated by a laser beam.

  • Publication number: 20250035193
Abstract: A multi-component idler or pulley that may be used with a belt and pulley system of an automobile is disclosed. The multi-component idler may have an external idler housing coupled to a mounting hub that is designed to be connected to a mounting surface of the belt and pulley system. The axial position of the external idler housing may be adjustable relative to the mounting hub using a threaded engagement or a plurality of shims between the components. The external idler housing and the mounting hub may be fastened to each other by bolts once their positions are adjusted relative to each other. Different types of external idler housing may also be used with the mounting hub. In this way, the serpentine belt of the belt and pulley system may be adjusted based on the user's needs.

  • Publication number: 20240364128
Abstract: In some implementations, a battery manager may identify a first voltage rating of a first battery pack. The battery manager may configure, based on the first voltage rating, a resistor bank of the battery manager to have a first resistance value. The battery manager may perform, via the resistor bank having the first resistance value, a first discharge operation, associated with the first battery pack, having a first duration. The battery manager may identify a second voltage rating of a second battery pack. The battery manager may configure, based on the second voltage rating, the resistor bank of the battery manager to have a second resistance value. The battery manager may perform, via the resistor bank having the second resistance value, a second discharge operation, associated with the second battery pack, having a second duration, and a difference between the first duration and the second duration satisfying a time threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240157524
Abstract: A fastening tool having a socket and a socket wrench with laser induced friction surfaces or lines on the outer surface of the socket is described herein. The laser induced friction surfaces may have a plurality of kerfs with recast material to increase the coefficient of friction on the outer surface of the socket. As a result, the user of the fastening tool may pull the socket off a head of a fastener with his or her hands instead of having to dislodge the socket first with a blunt object, such as a hammer. It is contemplated that the socket wrench may have laser induced friction surfaces or lines also.

  • Patent number: 11909120
Abstract: Provided herein are various magnetoelectric dipole antenna arrays and multi-array arrangements for handling radio frequency signals. In one example, an antenna array includes a baseplate conductively coupled to sets of plate elements by support members that position the plate elements at selected distances offset from a surface of the baseplate. Antenna probes are arranged in orthogonal pairs positioned within gaps between a corresponding set of plate elements, with each antenna probe comprising a conductive strip having a feed section coupled to a radio frequency connection through the baseplate, a transverse section generally parallel with the baseplate, and a terminal section directed back toward the baseplate. Dielectric structures for each pair of antenna probes comprise a dielectric material having channels that recess the conductive strips therein and a dielectric spacer positioned between overlapping transverse sections of the antenna probes.

  • Publication number: 20240028661
Abstract: Techniques of modifying user interfaces associated with a browser application includes enabling a user to modify a web page as displayed by the web browser in a way not anticipated by the creators of the web page elements and without needing to understand the internal structure of the web page. For example, improved techniques implemented as part of the technical solution would allow a participant in a web meeting to emphasize the names of other participants having the same manager without knowing anything about the architecture or programming code associated with the web meeting application.

  • Publication number: 20230331511
Abstract: A system for handling yarn packages and empty cores. The system includes a winder, a creel and a gripper assembly. The winder is configured to receive an empty core and to wind a predetermined length of yarn onto the empty core to create a yarn package. The creel is configured to provide an array of creel positions for receiving a yarn package. The gripper assembly is configured to be moveable between the winder and the creel. The gripper assembly has a jaw adapted to grip a yarn package when delivering the yarn package from the winder to the creel and to grip an empty core when removing the empty core from the creel and delivering the empty core to the winder. Devices, systems and methods for controlling a yarn tail, loading a yarn spool into a creel, and feeding the yarn through the creel, are also disclosed.
