  • Publication number: 20140207911
Abstract: A system and a method embed multimedia controls and indications in a webpage which may provide access to internet media content. The multimedia controls and indications embedded in the webpage may be accessible using a standard web browser and may enable a user of the standard web browser to invoke enhanced media functions for internet media content available through the webpage. The enhanced browser functions may include redirection of the internet media content to a rendering device in a home network, and the rendering device may be a different device than the browser terminal. The enhanced browser functions may include downloading the internet media content to a media server or other local storage device in the network, and the media server and the other local storage device may each be a different device than the browser terminal.

  • Patent number: 8417263
Abstract: A system and a method generate a recommendation on a mobile device. The system and the method may use a time, a location, a venue and/or an event to generate the recommendation. Further, the system and the method may use an event database to determine current interests of the user. Still further, the system and the method for generating a recommendation on a mobile device may use a transactional history of the user and/or behavior of other users to generate the recommendation. The system and the method may recommend, for example, digital media, news and event information, editorial content and/or physical or digital merchandise. As a result, the system and the method may generate a recommendation that corresponds to the current interests of the user.

  • Publication number: 20120266822
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cushioning device for supporting a large animal such as a cow or a horse. The cushioning device comprises a top surface, a bottom surface, said top surface and bottom surface forming a chamber, and an amount of a gelatinous filling material disposed within the chamber. The present invention relates also to methods of transporting and installing a cushioning device for supporting a large animal. The method comprises transporting the cushioning device and a compound capable of creating a gel upon contact with a liquid may be delivered separately to the site. At the remote site the compound may be disposed within the chamber and the chamber may then be filled with an amount of liquid to create the gel within the cushioning device. The compound may also be delivered to the site already disposed within the chamber.

  • Patent number: 8285735
Abstract: A system and a method create metadata for media files. The metadata may be information relating to, based on and/or associated with the media files. The metadata of the media files may be searched by one or more terminals. An event database connectable to a terminal may use a location, a date and/or a time of creation of the media files to associate specific events with the media files. Further, the specific events may be used by the database to create keywords associated with the media files. As a result, the system and the method may organize and/or may provide searching for media files. A web page may be generated for an event that accumulates the media files related to the event.

  • Patent number: 8135037
Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to a method and apparatus to communicate data between two or more semiconductor devices. In an embodiment, a method includes synchronizing a master device with a slave device, where the master device includes a semiconductor device. Synchronizing includes transmitting a first synchronization marker data pattern via a first serial interface from the master device at a first time, and receiving a second synchronization marker data pattern via a second serial interface at the master device at a second time in response to transmitting the first synchronization marker data pattern. Synchronizing also includes determining, based at least in part on the first time and the second time, a third time when a reply is to be received by the master device in response to a request transmitted from the master device to the slave device.

  • Publication number: 20110028418
Abstract: GABAA receptor mediated hypersomnia can be treated by administering a GABAA receptor antagonist (e.g., flumazenil; clarithromycin; picrotoxin; bicuculline; cicutoxin; and oenanthotoxin). In some embodiments, the GABAA receptor antagonist is flumazenil or clarithromycin. The GABAA receptor mediated hypersomnia includes shift work sleep disorder, obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome, narcolepsy, excessive sleepiness, hypersomnia (e.g., idiopathic hypersomnia; recurrent hypersonmia; endozepine related recurrent stupor; and amphetamine resistant hypersonmia), and excessive sleepiness associated with shift work sleep disorder, obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome, and hypersomnia (e.g., idiopathic hypersomnia; recurrent hypersomnia; endozepine related recurrent stupor; and amphetamine resistant hypersomnia.

  • Patent number: 7599396
Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to a method of communicating data between two or more semiconductor devices. Serial interfaces using the method have a reduction in latency compared to conventional serial interfaces. The method enables features needed for a serial interface, such as limited run lengths and recognizable data boundaries to establish alignment. In addition, a method for synchronizing two or more semiconductor devices through serial interfaces has been presented. This is done by passing a marker data pattern through the system.
