  • Patent number: 11915803
Abstract: A system and method for extracting data from an electronic health record to provide provider and patient data similarity scoring includes: encoding a problem list for a plurality of patients with concepts from a common electronic health record ontology. In one aspect, the patients have electronic health records maintained by a plurality of providers. The system and method then may parse the concepts into a plurality of clusters or categories and determining, for each of the providers, a total number of patients that have at least one problem in a cluster or category or determining, for each patient, which of the plurality of clusters or categories correspond to at least one concept encoded in the patient's problem list. The system and method then may calculate for each pair of providers or patients, a distance between the providers or patients.

  • Patent number: 10909176
Abstract: A system and method for facilitating dictionary migration or dictionary mapping from a first vocabulary or a first dictionary of terms to a second vocabulary includes one or more computers configured to carry out the steps of mapping a subset of the first set of terms to respective terms in an interface terminology and flagging another subset as not mapped to respective terms in the interface terminology. The system then may provide suggested mappings for the non-mapped terms, relying on user-supplied indications in order to map those terms. The system and method also may map the first dictionary terms to a reference terminology, an administrative terminology, or a clinical terminology or, conversely, may use those external terminologies to assist in mapping to the interface terminology.

  • Patent number: 10885148
Abstract: A medical classification code modeling system and method that generates visual maps in response to user queries, where the visual maps represent combinations of modifiers of an interface terminology that, taken together, map to medical classification code elements. The system and method may present multiple visual maps on the same display to permit visual analysis of multiple mapping revisions or versions. The system and method further may integrate into an electronic health record such that the user's ultimate selection of a mapping results in the corresponding medical classification code being inserted into the record of a patient at an appropriate location, such as on the patient's problem list.

  • Patent number: 10614467
Abstract: A social networking system displays information about a user via a timeline included in a profile page. Narrative data about a user stored in a social networking system, including data about the user and social network activities related to the user is accessed. Timeline units summarizing information about the user are generated from the narrative data. When a viewing user requests a profile page, timeline units are displayed based information related to the viewing user and interactions with the profile page by other users connected to the viewing user. Users that administer the profile page are presented with additional information when viewing the profile page, allowing the administering users to modify appearance of the timeline or to identify actions for an administering user to take to increase interaction with the profile page.

  • Patent number: 10609085
Abstract: A social networking system user creates an album including a shared collection of content (a “shared album”) and associates a privacy model with the shared album. The privacy model specifies additional users of the social networking system authorized to access content items in the shared album and specifies types of actions users authorized to access content items in the shared album are permitted to perform to content items in the shared album. Notifications describing actions associated with content items in a shared album may be presented to users authorized to access the shared album. The social networking system may prompt a user to create a shared album containing based on actions performed by the user or performed by connected to the user.

  • Patent number: 10606466
Abstract: An online system presents a feed of content including content items and one or more scrollable content units to a user of the online system. A scrollable content unit includes an ordered set of content items sharing a common attribute, such as advertisement requests associated with the same advertising campaign or images associated with a common subject. The scrollable content unit is scrollable in a direction that is orthogonal to an orientation of the feed of content, allowing presentation of additional content items from the ordered set when a user navigates through the ordered set. When all content items in the ordered set have been displayed by the scrollable content unit, an interaction with the scrollable content unit by the user presents additional content associated with the ordered set of content items, such as a page associated with the common attribute of content items in the ordered set.

  • Patent number: 10475085
Abstract: An online system selects advertisements for inclusion in a scrollable advertisement unit that includes a display area and multiple advertisements, each associated with a position in the scrollable advertisement unit. Positions in the scrollable advertisement unit are ranked based on a measure of predicted performance of an advertisement in each position. Advertisements are ranked based on a probability of being viewed by a user if associated with a particular position in the scrollable advertisement unit and, optionally, on a probability of presenting an advertisement based on characteristics of the advertisement. The position ranking and the advertisement ranking are used to associate advertisements with positions. For example, an advertisement is associated with a position having a location in the position ranking corresponding to the advertisement's position in the advertisement ranking.

  • Patent number: 10475134
Abstract: A social networking system presents suggestions to a user of a social networking system to use or install one or more applications accessible in the system. The social networking system offers suggestions by ranking candidate applications for a particular user and selecting applications to recommend based on the rankings. Advertisers associated with some applications may bid to boost the rankings of an application, making it more likely to appear for a given user.

  • Patent number: 10455049
Abstract: An online system presents a feed of content including content items and one or more scrollable content units to a user of the online system. A scrollable content unit includes an ordered set of content items and a display area presenting fewer than all of the content items of the ordered set at a time. The user navigates through the ordered set of content items in the display area by interacting with the scrollable content unit. If the user navigates through fewer than all of the content items in the ordered set, the online system modifies the ordered set. If the scrollable content unit is again provided to the user, the scrollable content unit presents content items based the modified ordered set. For example, the modified ordered set prioritizes presentation of content items from the ordered set that were not previously presented to the user.

  • Patent number: 10373202
Abstract: A social networking system generates a region-specific brand page for presentation to a requesting a brand paged based on location information associated with the user. The region-specific brand page includes data about the brand and aggregated data about users' actions associated with the brand in the social networking system and is presented in a format determined in part by the location information associated with the user. Additionally, the region-specific brand page may include data describing interactions with the brand by users connected to the user viewing the brand page, even if the connected users are associated with location information associated with a different geographic region than the user.

  • Patent number: 10356024
Abstract: Users of social networking system are provided with user interface elements permitting the user to post comments on pages within the social networking system. Pages may be provided for any non-user entity, including for example, pages for businesses, products, concepts, etc. Embodiments provided herein permit page moderators to ban certain content from being displayed on a page. For example, the social networking system may receive a list of proscribed content and block comments containing the proscribed content by reducing the distribution of those comments to other viewing users. However, the social networking system may display the blocked content to the commenting user such that the commenting user is not made aware that his or her comment was blocked, thereby providing fewer incentives to the commenting user to spam the page or attempt to circumvent the social networking system filters.

  • Patent number: 10210541
Abstract: An online system presents a scrollable advertisement unit including multiple advertisements to a user. The scrollable advertisement unit presents one or more advertisements in a display area, and allows a user to navigate through the advertisements in the scrollable advertisement unit to display different advertisements in the display area. One or more rules for crediting an impression to an advertisement in the display area are applied, and a tracking mechanism associated with the advertisement in the display area is loaded if at least one rule is specified. Loading the tracking mechanism identifies an impression of its associated advertisement.

  • Publication number: 20170212990
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for post-coordination of clinically relevant searches with respect to an electronic medical ontology includes mapping the searches to elements of the ontology, determining whether the mapped elements support post-coordination and, if not, relying on a hierarchy established by a second electronic medical ontology to which the first electronic medical ontology is mapped to determine whether one or more broader elements support post-coordination. Upon identifying one or more such broader elements, the system then may present the user with attribute selections associated with each element in order to obtain the desired post-coordination terms. The resulting combination of a broader element with its relevant attributes maps to a concept in the electronic medical ontology that is fully pre-coordinated with respect to a third electronic medical ontology.
