  • Publication number: 20240058923
Abstract: A side-clamp type honing guide provides dual-bevel functionality. The honing guide includes a lever having a first position which positions the blade at a desired angle for a primary bevel, and a second position which easily, reliably and repeatably adjusts the angle of the blade for a second, “micro” bevel after the primary sharpening operation has been completed. The primary and secondary bevels can be imparted to the blade without removal or adjustment of the blade relative to the honing guide, allowing the user to quickly and efficiently toggle between the primary and secondary bevel configurations.

  • Patent number: 11772297
Abstract: The present invention relates to improvements in a magnetic featherboard, the featherboard having an elongate main body with opposite lateral faces, a bottom face and front and rear faces; a plurality of resiliently deformable feathers arranged at one or both lateral faces of the main body, and at least two, on-off switchable permanent magnets respectively received in one of at least two spaced apart recesses of the main body such that a working face of the respective switchable permanent magnet is present at the bottom face of the main body. One improvement comprises (i) providing a resiliently deformable friction gasket adjacent the working face of each of the switchable permanent magnets and protruding, in an non-deformed state, a predetermined amount from the bottom face of the main body and the working faces, the gaskets deformable through magnetic clamping of the featherboard to a table.

  • Publication number: 20200154631
Abstract: An agricultural implement comprises a container mounted on a frame arranged for movement across an agricultural field, which container is suited for storing a granular product to be deposited across the field. The agricultural implement additionally including a metering system arranged for metering the granular product in movement from a product exit of the container to a product discharge, typically in operative communication with a pneumatic conveying system, for eventual delivery to the agricultural field. The agricultural implement features a crushing system arranged for reducing a size of the granular product that is disposed in series with the metering system so as to be located between the product exit and the product discharge, such that metered quantities of the crushed granular product can be deposited into the ground as the agricultural implement is displaced in the forward working direction across the field.

  • Publication number: 20190160573
Abstract: Embodiments of brazing systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, a brazing system includes a controller circuit board (controller) having a processor and a memory. The system also includes a fuel gas input, a fuel gas output, an oxygen/air gas input, and an oxygen/air gas output. The system further includes a touch screen display and a foot pedal, each operatively connected to the controller. The controller is configured to store multiple jobs of flame presets in the memory. Any job can be called up from the controller and the flame presets can be cycled through in response to tapping the foot pedal. Each job corresponds to a sequence of joint brazings to be performed on a braze assembly and includes a plurality of selectable flame presets. Each flame preset defines a flame setting based on a flow rate of a fuel gas and a flow rate of an oxygen/air gas.

  • Publication number: 20140174684
Abstract: Expandable microspheres formed by suspension polymerization using a shot growth method are provided. The microspheres are formed of a continuous, gas impermeable shell surrounding a blowing agent. The shell includes a first polymer layer formed from primary monomers and a second layer that includes a chemically reactive monomer or a high Tg monomer. To form the microspheres, the primary monomers are polymerized in a reaction vessel to an approximate 90% polymerization, at which time a secondary monomer that is either a monomer having a Tg of at least 85° C. or a chemically reactive monomer, is added to the reaction vessel to drive the polymerization reaction to completion. The outer layer thus contains either a larger amount of the high Tg monomer or a chemically reactive monomer that possesses the ability to covalently bond a cationic species. The microspheres may be used in papermaking processes to increase the paper bulk.
