  • Publication number: 20050255437
Abstract: A process of relaying a story having a timeline and a unique plot involving characters includes: indicating a character's fear of acting in a particular manner or performing a particular task, indicating the character being provided with a virtual reality environment, indicating that the character's fear is reduced or eliminated in the virtual reality environment, and indicating a belief of the character that the character is in the virtual reality environment at a time in the timeline in which the character is not in the virtual reality environment.

  • Publication number: 20050247165
Abstract: A tool for extracting damaged fasteners which reduces foreign object debris, and a method of using the same. The tool preferably includes a collet, which can be constricted around the damaged fastener, an outer wheel, a jam wheel, a jam tube, a drill bit, and a drill stop. The tool is preferably configured such that the drill stop prevents overdrilling. The collet is preferably secured around the damaged fastener by turning the jam wheel, and the outer wheel can be turned in an effort to remove the fastener. If the fastener cannot be removed, the drill bit is applied until the fastener can be extracted. The design of the tool is such that foreign object debris created during this process is preferably contained within the tool itself, thus reducing contamination.

  • Publication number: 20050244804
Abstract: A process of relaying a story having a timeline and a unique plot involving characters comprises: indicating a character's desire at a first time in the timeline for at least one of the following: a) to remain asleep or unconscious until a particular event occurs; and b) to forget or be substantially unable to recall substantially all events during the time period from the first time until a particular event occurs; indicating the character's substantial inability at a time after the occurrence of the particular event to recall substantially all events during the time period from the first time to the occurrence of the particular event; and indicating that during the time period the character was an active participant in a plurality of events.

  • Publication number: 20050046698
Abstract: A system and method for producing a selectable view of an object space include: a) dividing the object space into n object sections to be imaged; b) providing at least n cameras, where the cameras are configured such that each object section is associated with at least one unique camera configured to image substantially only that object section; and c) imaging each of the object sections with its unique camera, so as to create at least one image of each object section, where the images of the object sections are combined to create a substantially continuous composite mosaic of the object space, where a view of a portion of the mosaic is selectably provided to a user based on selection instructions from the user, and where at least one of the view, the mosaic, and the images of the object sections is sent to the user via an information network, such as a cable network.

  • Publication number: 20040220597
Abstract: A ring for use in anastomosis. Preferably, the ring is integrally formed from metal, and includes a ring portion and tines and docking members that extend from the ring portion. The ring portion and tines are malleable, and preferably also the docking members are malleable. The ring portion and tines are malleable in the sense that once deformed from a first shape into a second shape, they will not relax back into the first shape from the second. To install the ring in a vessel with the ring portion extending around an incision or other orifice, the tines pierce the tissue around the orifice and are curled against an anvil. The action of curling the tines inverts the tissue near the orifice edges to expose the inside surface of the vessel or organ.

  • Publication number: 20040118381
Abstract: An accumulator fuel system for an internal combustion engine having a plurality of engine cylinders, includes an accumulator fuel volume for supplying high pressure fuel to one or more of a plurality of injectors, each of which is arranged to supply fuel to an associated one of the engine cylinders. The accumulator fuel volume is integrated within an engine component, where the engine component provides a purpose other than that solely of an accumulator volume for storing high pressure fuel. The accumulator fuel volume is therefore defined in an existing engine component, to reduce part count, weight and cost. In one embodiment the accumulator fuel volume is defined within a rocker shaft of the engine and in another embodiment within the engine cylinder head.
