  • Patent number: 8359642
Abstract: Methods, devices, and products provide for restricting access to mature content by individuals for whom access to the mature content is designated as inappropriate. A content filter receives a communication, determines that the communication includes an image, and extracts the image. The image is scanned for mature content. A content restrictor component restricts access by various classes of users to the mature content.

  • Patent number: 8265619
Abstract: A communication system for automating test calls in a wireless communication network comprises a test call automation system and at least one wireless communication device. The test call automation system is configured to receive a set of test conditions and test instructions associated with a test call scenario, and transfer the test conditions and the test instructions to the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device is configured to monitor a device state of the wireless communication device based on the test conditions, and if the device state complies with the set of test conditions, then process the test instructions to execute the test call scenario, receive test results associated with the test call scenario, and transfer the test results to the test call automation system.

  • Patent number: 8160501
Abstract: What is disclosed is a test device for a wireless repeater system in a wireless communication network. The test device includes a transmitter configured to establish a call with the wireless communication network through the wireless repeater system and determine a number of probes required to establish the call. The test device also includes a receiver configured to receive the call from the wireless communication network through the wireless repeater system and determine a signal strength of the received call. The test device also includes a control processor configured to process the number of probes required to establish the call and the signal strength of the received call to determine a gain level for the wireless repeater system. The test device also includes a control interface configured to transfer the gain level to the wireless repeater system.

  • Patent number: 8027308
Abstract: The invention discloses a method of optimizing handoff time in a wireless communication system from a first base station to a second base station through a dynamic data source control, the method comprising determining a communication delay between a network service node of the wireless communication system and the second base station; setting a scheduling delay for the second base station; determining a handoff delay based on the communication delay and the scheduling delay and indicating said handoff delay to a mobile communication device, wherein the mobile communication device performs the handoff from the first base station to the second base station on expiry of the handoff delay so determined.
