  • Patent number: 10117248
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for mitigating interference caused by tropospheric ducting are provided. Tropospheric ducting causes interference by propagating signals transmitted from one base station, which may be received by a second base station in a neighboring market operating on the same frequencies as the first base station. Atmospheric conditions are monitored to determine an interference probability, or a probability that tropospheric ducting is occurring, while an interference level is also determined. Based on the interference level and interference probability, it is determined whether to utilize a ducting mitigation mode in which the frequencies operating by antennas at the first base station are different than frequencies operating by antennas at the second base station. Upon determining whether to utilize the ducting mitigation mode, adjustments may be made to the antennas in accordance with the ducting mitigation mode.

  • Publication number: 20180305706
Abstract: Methods for producing in a plant a complex transgenic trait locus comprising at least two altered target sequences in a genomic region of interest are disclosed. The methods involve the use of two or more double-strand-break-inducing agents, each of which can cause a double-strand break in a target sequence in the genomic region of interest which results in an alteration in the target sequence. Also disclosed are complex transgenic trait loci in plants. A complex transgenic trait locus comprises at least two altered target sequences that are genetically linked to a polynucleotide of interest. Plants, plant cells, plant parts, and seeds comprising one or more complex transgenic trait loci are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10111186
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for dynamically changing power distribution levels to sectors in a cell site. A device, such as an eNodeB, radio network controller, or base station controller, provides instructions to an RF power splitter to adjust the power output in ratios, which changes the power distribution levels at the sectors. The power splitter contains a transformer and motor that can dynamically change the power output ratios based on the instructions received from the device. The resulting power outputs are distributed to the sectors.
