  • Patent number: 11989837
Abstract: A method of spawning a digital island in a three-dimensional environment is disclosed. Data describing a three-dimensional environment is accessed. The data is partitioned into a plurality of contexts based on properties identified in the data, the properties corresponding to surfaces or objects in the three-dimensional environment. One or more values of one or more traits corresponding to a context of the plurality of context are identified. A digital island is matched to the context. The matching includes analyzing one or more conditions associated with the digital island with respect to the one or more values of the one or more traits corresponding to the context. Based on the matching, the spawning of the digital island is performed in the three-dimensional environment for the context.

  • Publication number: 20240095342
Abstract: An automated checkout system aims to detect and disable certain functionalities of an auto-checkout client application if a user exhibits anomalous behavior. The system collects user interaction data to describe the user's interactions with the client device through the application. It then uses a behavior scoring model on the data to generate an anomalous behavior score, indicating the likelihood of anomalous behavior. For instance, if a user scans an item far from its usual location, the score may suggest atypical behavior. The system employs the behavior score to identify functionalities to disable by comparing it to a set of threshold values. Each threshold corresponds to specific auto-checkout application functionalities to be disabled if the behavior score reaches the thresholds. For example, if a threshold is related to identifying items by image capture, the system may disable this feature if the score exceeds the threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20240086927
Abstract: A device may capture an image of a first machine-readable code, send a request to a server to obtain access to a user application at the device. The device may capture an image of an item offered by a retailer, detect information about the item included in the image of the item, and add the item to a virtual shopping cart. The device may receive payment information for purchasing the item in the virtual shopping cart, and generate a second machine-readable code comprising purchase information of the item. • Patent number: 11919196
Abstract: A manufacturing system includes a tape advancing through the manufacturing system and a station of the manufacturing system. The tape includes a first portion having grains of an inorganic material bound by an organic binder. The station of the manufacturing system receives the first portion of the tape and prepares the tape for sintering by chemically changing the organic binder and/or removing the organic binder from the first portion of the tape, leaving the grains of the inorganic material, to form a second portion of the tape and, at least in part, prepare the tape for sintering.

  • Patent number: 11894006
Abstract: The processing of audio signals during playback is provided, so that audio signals that fall below a specified threshold loudness level are processed to avoid making unwanted background noise audible. N-channel audio is received from a playback volume controller/leveler (101). The level of the audio is compared with a threshold level. If the level is greater than the threshold level, the audio is processed with a first amount of gain in accordance with a first dynamic range control (DRC) compression curve that is tuned for professionally produced audio. If the level is less than or equal to the threshold level, the audio is processed with a second amount of gain in accordance with a second DRC compression curve that is designed to avoid boosting unwanted background noise. After applying the gain to the audio, the audio is sent to a downstream device.

  • Publication number: 20240037863
Abstract: An augmented reality application executing on a client device receives video data captured by a camera of the device, in which the video data includes a display area of the device. The application detects a set of items within the display area based on the video data, wherein the set of items is included among an inventory of a warehouse associated with a retailer, and accesses a set of attributes of each item. The application retrieves profile information including a set of preferences associated with a customer of the retailer, matches one or more of the set of preferences with one or more attributes of each item, and generates an augmented reality element based on the matches. The augmented reality element is then displayed, such that it is overlaid onto a portion of the display area based on a location within the display area at which the items are detected.

  • Publication number: 20240037630
Abstract: A wayfinding application executing on a client device receives a current location of the device within a warehouse and accesses a layout of the warehouse describing locations of items included among an inventory of the warehouse. The application identifies a route from the current location to one or more locations within the warehouse associated with one or more target items, generates augmented reality elements including instructions for navigating the route, and sends the elements to a display area of the device. The application detects a location within the warehouse associated with a target item and determines whether the item is at the location based on an image captured by the device. Upon determining it is not at the location, the application alerts a user of the device to a replacement item by generating an augmented reality element that calls attention to it and sending the element to the display area.

  • Publication number: 20230409823
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a system and method for determining differences between at least two documents. A preferred embodiment disclosed herein pertains to a system and method for determining differences in the text or terms of legal documents, for example transactional legal agreements, such as but not limited to Trade Confirmations. The document review system can compare text documents to other text documents but is further capable of comparing text documents to structured spreadsheet data. The combination of static component verification in combination with dynamic component verification leads to a powerful tool which greatly reduces the time and efficient of document review while reducing the risk of human errors. Utilizing word embeddings in the static verification in combination with the use of named entity recognition, rule parsers in the dynamic verification, enables the system to produce concise and meaningful summaries of differences between multiple documents.

  • Patent number: 11834363
Abstract: A method for ceramming a glass article to a glass-ceramic includes placing a glass article into a heating apparatus, and heating the glass article to a first hold temperature at a first predetermined heating rate. The glass article is held at the first hold temperature for a first predetermined duration. The viscosity of the glass article is maintained within log viscosity ±1.0 poise during the first predetermined duration. The glass article is then heated from the first hold temperature to a second hold temperature at a second predetermined heating rate. The glass article is held at the second hold temperature for a second duration. A density of the glass article is monitored from the heating of the glass article from the first hold temperature through the second duration, and the second duration is ended when an absolute value of a density rate of change of the glass article is less than or equal to 0.10 (g/cm3)/min.

  • Publication number: 20230363071
Abstract: A load control system controls an electrical load provided in a space and comprises a load control device and one or more occupancy sensors. The load control device controls the load in response to the wireless control signals received from the occupancy sensors. Each occupancy sensor transmits an occupied control signal to the load control device in response to detecting an occupancy condition in the space and a vacant control signal to the load control device in response to detecting a vacancy condition. The load control device turns on the load in response to receiving the occupied control signal from at least one of the occupancy sensors, and turns off the load in response to receiving vacant control signals from both of the occupancy sensors. The load control device is operable to determine that no wireless control signals have been received from the occupancy sensors for the length of a predetermined timeout period and to subsequently turn off the load.
