  • Patent number: 11879298
Abstract: A drive sub for a drilling assembly includes a tubular body configured to receive and releasably engage a drilling tool. The body has inner and outer faces and further has a castellated edge provided on its operative downhole end, which edge defines a plurality of lugs separated from each other by intervening slots. In one aspect the drive sub has a contour profile provided at least partially along a circumference of the castellated edge, wherein the contour profile traverses the castellated edge substantially from the inner face to the outer face. In another aspect the drive sub has a channel provided in each of the lugs, wherein the channel at least partially traverses the lugs and leads from an inlet opening on the castellated edge to an outlet opening on the outer face. The contour profile and/or channel facilitate flow of drilling fluid and cuttings past the lugs during use.

  • Patent number: 11838283
Abstract: An enclave manager of a network enclave obtains a request to retrieve configuration information and state information corresponding to compute devices and network devices comprising a network enclave. The request specifies a set of parameters of the configuration information and the state information usable to generate a response to the request. The enclave manager evaluates the compute devices, the network devices, and network connections among these devices within the network enclave to obtain the configuration information and the state information. Based on the configuration information and the state information, the enclave manager determines whether the network enclave is trustworthy. Based on the parameters of the request, the enclave manager generates a response indicating a summary that is used to identify the trustworthiness of the network enclave.

  • Publication number: 20230303112
Abstract: A method of planning a path for reversing a trailer along a defined path a includes defining a desired end point for a trailer path and determining a set of reversing trailer curvatures for moving the trailer between each of a plurality of possible waypoints along a possible trailer path. A steering angle is determined for each of the curvatures. The reversing trailer path to the end point is then created based on a set of waypoints selected based on the determined reversing trailer curvature at each of the plurality of possible waypoints that meets a defined path determination criteria.

  • Publication number: 20230152241
Abstract: An inspection system for inspecting multiple surfaces of a substrate includes at least one illuminator that produces light at a first wavelength that is incident on the substrate at a first angle (e.g., normal) and light at a second wavelength directed that is obliquely incident on the substrate. An adjustment system adjusts the oblique angle. The substrate may be opaque to one of the wavelengths and at least partially transparent to the other wavelength. Detection optics collect backscattered light from the substrate and at least one detector generates a first image representative of the first surface of the substrate and a second image representative of a second surface or near the second surface of the substrate. The images may be compared to generate a third image representative of defects on or near the second surface of the substrate corrected for residual signals of defects on the first surface.
