  • Patent number: 11790009
Abstract: A journal of operations persistently stores a collection of user and machine interactions with documents, concepts within documents, and relationships/mentions among such documents and concepts. A knowledge graph or other visual expression can be used to provide an interactive format for user interactions with this information, and to visually display the accumulated information in the journal of operations on user's device of choice. Such accumulations are often called aggregations or aggregates. Both human users and computer users such as automated recommendation engines, machine learning algorithms, and the like can interact with the journal of operations to facilitate computer-assisted discovery and organization of data around a topic of interest to the human user. The resulting journal of operations and aggregations of those operations such as a knowledge graph or other visual expression(s) also provides a useful medium for sharing knowledge with other users and collaborating on investigation of a topic.

  • Patent number: 11741941
Abstract: A discriminator trained on labeled samples of speech can compute probabilities of voice properties. A speech synthesis generative neural network that takes in text and continuous scale values of voice properties is trained to synthesize speech audio that the discriminator will infer as matching the values of the input voice properties. Voice parameters can include speaker voice parameters, accents, and attitudes, among others. Training can be done by transfer learning from an existing neural speech synthesis model or such a model can be trained with a loss function that considers speech and parameter values. A graphical user interface can allow voice designers for products to synthesize speech with a desired voice or generate a speech synthesis engine with frozen voice parameters. A vector of parameters can be used for comparison to previously registered voices in databases such as ones for trademark registration.

  • Patent number: 11725916
Abstract: Provided is a frangible munitions device optimized for a dome and cylinder that yields fragments having shapes corresponding to a predetermined embossment pattern upon explosive rupture. The embossment pattern includes a first set of inner regular hexagonal embossments formed into the dome and cylinder that are aligned with the axis of the cylinder, and a second set of outer pre-deformed hexagonal shapes that distort to produce regular hexagonal shapes after drawing into the cylinder wall. The second set of shapes are separated by sharp transition regions. The shapes are embossed in a repeated pattern around the hollow cylinder and the dome top. The dome yields a plurality of fragments having shapes corresponding to the first set of inner regular hexagonal embossments upon explosive rupture, while the cylinder yields a plurality of fragments having shapes corresponding to the second set of outer pre-deformed hexagonal embossments upon explosive rupture.

  • Patent number: 11714613
Abstract: Embodiments automate surfacing of underutilized development tool features, thereby enhancing the discoverability of subtools, commands, shortcuts, settings, visualizers, and other tool features. After spotting an inefficiency in the user's interaction with one or more tools, the feature surfacing functionality offers the user an interaction optimization suggestion. A mapping structure correlates detected interaction patterns with objectively better interaction optimizations. Several examples of mappings are discussed. The user can accept a suggestion, have the suggested optimization applied by an enhanced tool, and thereby reduce the number of user gestures utilized to accomplish a desired result, reduce the number of tools utilized, increase security, reduce risk of error, or get to the desired result faster, for example. Interaction optimizations also help the user stay focused, by reducing or avoiding departures from the user's current primary workflow.
