  • Publication number: 20230032125
Abstract: Provided is a frangible munitions device optimized for a dome and cylinder that yields fragments having shapes corresponding to a predetermined embossment pattern upon explosive rupture. The embossment pattern includes a first set of inner regular hexagonal embossments formed into the dome and cylinder that are aligned with the axis of the cylinder, and a second set of outer pre-deformed hexagonal shapes that distort to produce regular hexagonal shapes after drawing into the cylinder wall. The second set of shapes are separated by sharp transition regions. The shapes are embossed in a repeated pattern around the hollow cylinder and the dome top. The dome yields a plurality of fragments having shapes corresponding to the first set of inner regular hexagonal embossments upon explosive rupture, while the cylinder yields a plurality of fragments having shapes corresponding to the second set of outer pre-deformed hexagonal embossments upon explosive rupture.

  • Patent number: 11455459
Abstract: A collaborative authoring application provides an authoring environment in which two or more users can edit a document concurrently. Each user edits a copy of the document, sends updates to a master copy of the document, and receives updates from the master copy of the document. The authoring environment generally inhibits the users from providing conflicting editing instructions to the master copy of the document. For example, each user can generate a content lock about one or more data units within the document. The authoring environment may synchronize content locks automatically and content only at the request of the user.

  • Publication number: 20220293280
Abstract: Methods and systems to de-identify data records, including to merge pairs of clusters data records of individuals until a number of data records of each cluster meets a minimum size threshold, de-identify the clusters when each cluster meets the minimum size threshold, assess a risk of re-identification of the de-identified clusters based on k-anonymity, increase the minimum size threshold and re-perform the merge, the de-identify, and the assess a risk, if the assessed risk does not meet a risk criterion, and present the de-identified clusters on a display when the assessed risk meets the risk criterion.

  • Patent number: 11428854
Abstract: An optical coating structure applied to the surface of an object having scattering structures introduced to the basal, upper or middle layers of a multilayer reflector to cause a particular (calculated) degree of scattering, or to the surface of a black/colour pigmented object. The scattering structures are mainly sub-micron in size, and arranged in a pseudo-random or non-periodic manner. Consequently they serve only to broaden the angular range of the light reflected at the surface normal from a multilayer reflector, or to provide (actual and/or perceived) reduced reflectivity of a surface by deflecting incident light through the surface rather than away from it or by scattering otherwise beam-like (narrow-angle) reflections from a surface into a broad-angle reflection. The scattering structures can include profile elements, which are in the form of elongate bars having convexly curved sides or hemispherical rods, that are introduced to a basal layer of a multilayer reflector.

  • Patent number: 11415160
Abstract: A locking push pin and methods of using the locking push pin to assemble a heatsink assembly, are described. The locking push pin includes a body lumen extending through a pin body, and several prongs radially outward from the body lumen. Peripheral surfaces of the prongs are separated by a body slot radially outward from the body lumen. The locking push pin includes a pin lock having a branch that extends through the body lumen and into the body slot between the peripheral surfaces. The pin lock advances from an unlocked configuration in which the branch is in the body slot proximal to a distal end of the prongs, allowing the prongs to deflect radially inward, to a locked configuration in which the branch is in the body slot at the distal end of the prongs, blocking deflection of the prongs. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 11409777
Abstract: A user interface of an entity-centric knowledge discovery system presents an entity profile including a mix of structured and unstructured data relating to an entity. As a user refines the entity profile based on information gathered from various sources, the changing entity profile can be used as a substantially continuously updating query to search, retrieve, and rank new and pertinent information specifically relevant to the profiled entity. The platform described herein provide an active loop for refining an entity description and searching for additional information in which human input and machine-based algorithms can cooperate to more quickly build a comprehensive description of an entity of interest.

  • Patent number: 11380441
Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a method of geo-clustering of data for de-identification of a dataset. The method includes generating a plurality of geoclusters based on a plurality of geocodes. The geocodes may include ZIP codes or postal codes. The method further includes identifying the geoclusters having the smallest population. The geocluster having the smallest population is iteratively merged with the nearest geocluster until a minimum population threshold is met. Once the smallest geocluster meets the minimum population threshold, the plurality of geoclusters can be used to cluster the geocodes within a dataset to be de-identified.

  • Publication number: 20220192968
Abstract: This invention relates to hair care compositions containing a branched organopolysiloxane, “oil in water” emulsion. Despite the prior art, there still exists the opportunity to increase the benefits delivered through conditioning hair care compositions. A particular need exists for hair care compositions which can deliver enhanced silicone deposition, especially to the damaged parts of the hair. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a hair care composition which can deliver enhanced silicone deposition onto the hair, in particular damaged hair.
