  • Publication number: 20170131147
Abstract: A computer-implemented intelligent alignment method for a color sensing device (12) which initially obtains a raw sense value measured by the color sensing device and converts the raw sense value to a tristimulus value (S401). The color sensing device may be calibrated using a known set of colors (S402). Raw readings received from the color sensing device may be mapped to known tristimulus values (S403), and mapped values may be converted to a standard reference illuminant color space (S404). A client-server system may be provided in which a color sensing device and one or more servers collectively execute operations according to the present disclosure.

  • Publication number: 20170083698
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting the generation of authentication credentials for virtual machine instances are described. In various embodiments, an intermediary system may detect or determine, for a virtual machine instance, one or more states associated with a credential (e.g., a password) generation process and/or a get password request from a requesting user. Based on detected or determined virtual machine states, the intermediary system may provide useful and/or timely status indicators or notifications to the requesting user. In various embodiments multiple states may be determined sequentially or in parallel in order to provide more detailed information regarding whether and why a credential is or is not available, contributing to an improved user experience. For example, timely indication that a password may not be available may be useful to the requesting user who can take immediate steps to remedy the situation, such as by contacting customer service.

  • Publication number: 20170020793
Abstract: The present invention relates to personal wash compositions, in particular shampoo compositions comprising beneficial oils. It has been a long felt need to solubilise beneficial oils such as mineral oil in wormlike micelles in surfactant systems. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a personal wash composition comprising functional levels of beneficial oil such as mineral oil. It has been found that mineral oil can be solubilised in wormlike micelles in a surfactant system with specific hydrophilic or lipophilic linker molecules.

  • Patent number: 9547635
Abstract: A collaborative authoring application provides an authoring environment in which two or more users can edit a document concurrently. Each user edits a copy of the document, sends updates to a master copy of the document, and receives updates from the master copy of the document. The authoring environment generally inhibits the users from providing conflicting editing instructions to the master copy of the document. For example, each user can generate a content lock about one or more data units within the document. The authoring environment may synchronize content locks automatically and content only at the request of the user.

  • Publication number: 20160378855
Abstract: A user interface of an entity-centric knowledge discovery system presents an entity profile including a mix of structured and unstructured data relating to an entity. As a user refines the entity profile based on information gathered from various sources, the changing entity profile can be used as a substantially continuously updating query to search, retrieve, and rank new and pertinent information specifically relevant to the profiled entity. The platform described herein provide an active loop for refining an entity description and searching for additional information in which human input and machine-based algorithms can cooperate to more quickly build a comprehensive description of an entity of interest.
