  • Publication number: 20140110660
Abstract: A memory cell according to the present invention comprises a bottom conductor, a doped semiconductor pillar, and a top conductor. The memory cell does not include a dielectric rupture antifuse separating the doped semiconductor pillar from either conductor, or within the semiconductor pillar. The memory cell is formed in a high-impedance state, in which little or no current flows between the conductors on application of a read voltage. Application of a programming voltage programs the cell, converting the memory cell from its initial high-impedance state to a low-impedance state. A monolithic three dimensional memory array of such cells can be formed, comprising multiple memory levels, the levels monolithically formed above one another.

  • Patent number: 8405403
Abstract: A health monitoring arrangement for a solenoid includes an armature for coupling to the solenoid, the armature being displaceable proportional to a driving current applied to the solenoid. A monitoring coil is wound around the armature such that the armature is displaceable relative to the monitoring coil. A voltage monitor coupled to the monitoring coil generates a voltage signature in respect of the solenoid that is proportional to the armature displacement. An analyzer analyzes the voltage signature to determine the health of the solenoid. Also a method of monitoring the health of a solenoid is provided.

  • Publication number: 20120285712
Abstract: A power tool is described which has several modes of operation, such as drilling and screw driving modes. A clutch is provided with various settings for adjusting the torque at which the clutch interrupts power to a spindle. Furthermore, a two speed gearbox is provided for adjusting the speed of the spindle. All of these variables are controllable from a single adjustment member or collar thereby reducing necessary decisions needed to be made by an operator for a particular job in hand. For instance, when an operator wants the tool to operate in a screw driving mode, the gearbox is automatically set to drive the spindle at a low speed with the clutch being operable to interrupt drive when a torque force applied to the spindle exceeds a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20120260323
Abstract: Systems and methods for continuous measurement of an analyte in a host are provided. The system generally includes a continuous analyte sensor configured to continuously measure a concentration of analyte in a host and a sensor electronics module physically connected to the continuous analyte sensor during sensor use, wherein the sensor electronics module is further configured to directly wirelessly communicate sensor information to one or more display devices. Establishment of communication between devices can involve using a unique identifier associated with the sensor electronics module to authenticate communication. Times tracked at the sensor electronics module and the display module can be at different resolutions, and the different resolutions can be translated to facilitate communication. In addition, the frequency of establishing communication channels between the sensor electronics module and the display devices can vary depending upon whether reference calibration information is being updated.

  • Patent number: PP23532
Abstract: Rootstock ‘9407-14’ originated as a single plant from a cross of ‘L6-1’ (Vitis champinii ‘Ramsey’×V. riparia ‘Riparia Gloire’)×V. champinii ‘c9021’. This invention relates to a new and distinct variety of grape rootstock with resistance to a broad array of soil-borne nematodes including root-knot, dagger, lesion and citrus nematodes. The variety has moderate resistance to ring nematode, and resists grape phylloxera. Although the variety supports phylloxera on its root tips, the variety does not allow phylloxera feeding on its structural roots (i.e., those that develop periderm bark and on which phylloxera feeding is damaging to the roots).
