  • Publication number: 20240085054
Abstract: A fitting assembly for connection to a flexible duct includes a ferrule configured for insertion into an open end of the flexible duct a fitting removably connected to the ferrule. The ferrule includes a sidewall defining a minor diameter and a major diameter spaced apart from the minor diameter, and a ferrule thread extending radially outward from the sidewall. One of the fitting and the ferrule defines a recess. Another of the fitting and the ferrule comprises a tab configured to extend into the recess. One of the recess and the tab comprises an edge. Another of the recess and the tab comprises a ramped surface extending in a circumferential direction of the ferrule, such that rotation of the ferrule relative to the fitting causes the ramped surface to engage the edge, thereby radially deflecting the tab and disengaging the tab from the recess.

  • Patent number: 11889307
Abstract: The present disclosure describes techniques that facilitate the encryption of data communications between a home and VPLMN, along with the verification of a content and origin of encrypted messages at each end of a data communication. In one non-limiting example, the process of verifying the content and origin of an encrypted message is facilitated partly by an exchange of network public keys between the HPLMN and VPLMNs. In another example, a network certificate aggregator (NCA) may act as a certificate authority (CA) by verifying the identities of interacting home and VPLMNs. The NCA may facilitate and exchange public keys between a home and VPLMN, whereby the HPLMN and VPLMNs need only trust and verify an identity of the NCA. Alternatively, the NCA may act as a conduit for data communications between the HPLMN and VPLMN.

  • Patent number: 11438376
Abstract: An Autonomous System (AS) may receive an AS route update from a remote AS at an isolated border gateway (BGW) router of an AS. The AS may analyze a data traffic routing path in the AS route update to determine whether the AS route update is a problematic update, the data traffic routing path for routing data traffic through a plurality of ASs that include the AS. In response to determining that the AS route update is a non-problematic update, the AS may implement the AS route update into the one or more operational BGW routers of the AS to route the data traffic between the plurality of ASs. In response to determining that the AS route update is a problematic update, the AS may designate the AS route update from the remote AS as unsuitable for implementation into one or more operational BGW routers of the AS.

  • Publication number: 20210121950
Abstract: The invention provides a process for producing a nanostructure comprising a first metal having a first reduction potential and a second metal having a second reduction potential, the second reduction potential being more negative than the first reduction potential. The process involves a catalyst which is a salt of a reducing metal. The nanostructure may be in the form of a nanowire. The process can provide true nanoalloy products and core-shell nanostructures. The invention further provides a nanoalloy comprising a first metal having a first reduction potential and a second metal having a second reduction potential, the second reduction potential being more negative than the first reduction potential. The invention provides a nanoalloy with an oxide coating. Also provided are a hydrogen storage module and a transparent conductor comprising an optionally oxide-coated nanoalloy according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 10869195
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for detecting rogue base stations and preventing malicious actors from intercepting and stealing data traffic from mobile devices through rogue base stations. Upon connecting to a newly detected base station for a cellular network service, a mobile device attempts to validate the cellular base station with a validation server before any data is transmitted over the new connection. If the mobile device does not receive a confirmation of validity from the validation server, the mobile device would identify the cellular base station as a rogue base station, disconnect from the rogue base station, and search for a valid base station for connection to the cellular network.

  • Publication number: 20200186458
Abstract: In a network such as the Internet, communications between Autonomous Systems (ASes) in the network can be routed along different communication pathways. Falsely advertised ownership of an IP prefix or address by an AS can be detected by a receiving AS that receives advertisements and then checks advertised IP prefix ownership against an IP prefix registry blockchain ledger to verify whether the advertised prefix ownership is correct.

  • Patent number: 10091612
Abstract: System and method of geo-fencing. A user equipment (UE) defines a geo-fence for an asset by tracking location coordinates of the UE with at least one sensor element, as the UE is moved around a perimeter of an area. The location coordinates of the geo-fence are transferred to a location aware device (LAD) attached to the asset. Upon determining, by the at least one sensor, that the LAD crossed the geo-fence, a notification is sent to a warning server operative to trigger a warning message to one or more recipients.

  • Publication number: 20170316459
Abstract: A data system can maintain a targeted incentive database mapping product categories to targeted incentive levels and mapping the targeted incentive levels to a plurality of user segments corresponding to observable features of users. The data system can receive a user query from a user computer device, the query comprising product configuration information, apply a set of segment matching rules to match the user to a user segment from the targeted incentive database based on a set of observable features associated with the user, identify a targeted incentive level for a product category from a plurality of targeted incentive levels for the product category according to a mapping between the determined user segment and the identified targeted incentive level in the targeted incentive database and generate a responsive web page to display the identified targeted incentive level at the user computing device.
