  • Publication number: 20240095718
Abstract: This disclosure describes, in part, systems for enabling facilities to implement techniques to determine when users are in possession of items when located within and/or exiting the facilities. For instance, a system may use one or more sensors to determine locations of a user that navigated through a facility. Additionally, the system may use one or more sensors to determine locations of an item while the item was located within the facility. The system may then determine a probability that the user was in possession of the item when in the facility and/or when exiting the facility based at least in part on the locations of the user and the locations of the item. If the system determines that the user was in possession of the item when exiting the facility, the system may charge a payment instrument of the user for a price of the item.

  • Patent number: 11936664
Abstract: Embodiments detect identity attacks by comparing usage of compromised passphrases or other weak credentials in failed sign-in attempts to access restriction conditions. A restriction threshold amount of weak credential failed sign-ins (WCFSI) or a WCFSI increase indicates an identity attack, such as a password spray attack. Going beyond the mere number of failed sign-ins by also considering credential strength allows embodiments to detect attacks sooner than other approaches. An embodiment may also initiate or impose defenses by locking accounts, blocking IP addresses, or requiring additional authentication before access to an account is allowed. Weak credentials may include short passwords, simple passwords, compromised passwords, or wrong usernames, for instance. Password strength testing may be used for attack detection in addition to preventive use on passwords proposed by authorized users. Familiar and unfamiliar traffic source locations may be tracked, as sets or individually.

  • Patent number: 11935634
Abstract: A system for predicting and summarizing medical events from electronic health records includes a computer memory storing aggregated electronic health records from a multitude of patients of diverse age, health conditions, and demographics including medications, laboratory values, diagnoses, vital signs, and medical notes. The aggregated electronic health records are converted into a single standardized data structure format and ordered arrangement per patient, e.g., into a chronological order. A computer (or computer system) executes one or more deep learning models trained on the aggregated health records to predict one or more future clinical events and summarize pertinent past medical events related to the predicted events on an input electronic health record of a patient having the standardized data structure format and ordered into a chronological order.

  • Patent number: 11935175
Abstract: There is described a method of shading a group of pixels in a fragment shader in a raster graphics pipeline. At least one first pilot pixel of the group of pixels is shaded under a first precision. At least one second pilot pixel of the group of pixels is shaded under a second precision. An error value representing a difference between the first and second pilot pixels is calculated. At least one other pixel of the group of pixels is shaded under the first precision if the error value is greater than an error threshold. The at least one other pixel is shaded under the second precision if the error value is smaller than the error threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240086235
Abstract: Reconfigurable dataflow architecture is an emerging design for deep learning training accelerator. This architecture maps model operators to an accelerator in a spatial way, enabling pipeline parallelization for high throughput. An essential ingredient to exploit this throughput advantage is compiler Performance Optimization (PO) which searches for optimal model mappings. The convention in industry-leading dataflow compilation uses hand-tuned rules to guide PO, requiring immense engineering cost to develop. This paper challenges this convention and asks if data-driven learned performance optimization can reduce the engineering cost while improving training throughput over hand-tuned rules. We present a workflow which guides PO using simple machine learning models trained from throughput observations of randomly generated mappings.

  • Patent number: 11922422
Abstract: A method of determining fraud includes: receiving a transaction request associated with a first payment transaction between a merchant and a user from a merchant system; generating a first risk score based on the transaction request and a first set pot of transaction data received prior to the transaction request; processing a transaction request approval based on the first risk score not satisfying a first threshold; receiving a risk score request associated with the first payment transaction, where the risk score request is received after the transaction request has been approved; generating a second risk score based on a second set of transaction data received after the first risk score is determined; and automatically classifying the first payment transaction as potentially fraudulent in response to determining that the second risk score satisfies a second threshold.

  • Patent number: 11923092
Abstract: Various embodiments of a fall-detection system for detecting personal fall while preserving the privacy of a detected person are disclosed. This disclosed fall-detection system can begin by receiving a sequence of video images comprising a person being monitored. The disclosed fall-detection system then processes each video image in the sequence of video images by: detecting the person in the video image; and extracting a skeletal figure of the detected person by identifying a set of human keypoints from the detected person. Next, the disclosed fall-detection system processes the sequence of skeletal figures corresponding to the sequence of video images by labeling each skeletal figure in the sequence of skeletal figures with an action among a set of predetermined actions. The disclosed fall-detection system subsequently generates a fall/non-fall decision for the detected person based on the set of action labels corresponding to the sequence of video images.

  • Patent number: 11922220
Abstract: Embodiments of systems, apparatuses and methods provide enhanced function as a service (FaaS) to users, e.g., computer developers and cloud service providers (CSPs). A computing system configured to provide such enhanced FaaS service include one or more controls architectural subsystems, software and orchestration subsystems, network and storage subsystems, and security subsystems. The computing system executes functions in response to events triggered by the users in an execution environment provided by the architectural subsystems, which represent an abstraction of execution management and shield the users from the burden of managing the execution. The software and orchestration subsystems allocate computing resources for the function execution by intelligently spinning up and down containers for function code with decreased instantiation latency and increased execution scalability while maintaining secured execution.
