  • Publication number: 20240155654
Abstract: An apparatus and system for inter-UE coordination feedback for sidelink communications are described. In particular, inter-UE coordination feedback signaling for reliable sidelink communication including transmitter-based resource allocation and signaling of conflicts, prioritization of the inter-UE coordination feedback, and timing of the inter-UE coordination feedback are described. Sidelink hybrid acknowledgment request (HARQ) acknowledgment/negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) or NACK only signaling is prioritized over a half-duplex (HD) or co-channel collision (CC) feedback indication, and uplink transmissions are prioritized over sidelink transmissions. In response to detection of a conflict, the inter-UE coordination feedback is transmitted relative to the slot where the HD or CC event occurs or relative to the slot where reservation of the resources for the sidelink transmissions.

  • Publication number: 20240155687
Abstract: Systems and methods of providing RAT co-existence and congestion control in V2V communications are generally described. A vUE detects specific non-LTE RAT transmissions in a listening period of a PSCCH or PSSCH, determines whether a metric has been met and reselects to a non-overloaded channel to communicate with other vUEs or the eNB. The manner of reselection is dependent on the RAT specific or V2X service priorities of the channels, as well as whether the channels are V2V service dependent.

  • Publication number: 20240155666
Abstract: A computer-readable storage medium stores instructions to configure a UE for sidelink operation in a 5G NR network, and to cause the UE to perform operations including encoding a first SCI for transmission. The first SCI includes a first resource reservation for a subsequent sidelink transmission by the UE in a pre-selected slot. A second SCI received from a second UE is decoded. The second SCI includes a second resource reservation for a subsequent sidelink transmission by the second UE in the pre-selected slot. A reservation conflict is detected based on the first resource reservation and the second resource reservation using the pre-selected slot. A third SCI is encoded for transmission based on the detection of the reservation conflict. The third SCI includes a modified version of the first resource reservation for the subsequent sidelink transmission by the UE.

  • Publication number: 20240155392
Abstract: A computer-readable storage medium stores instructions to configure a UE for radio resource management (RRM) measurements in a 5G NR. network, and to cause the UE to perform operations. The operations include decoding RRC signaling. The RRC signaling includes system information associated with an inter-RAT cell of a. target base station. The system information includes an indicator for support of enhanced RRM measurements by the inter-RAT cell. Configuration information from a. source base station is decoded. The configuration information includes a handover instruction for performing a handover from the source base station to the target base station. A determination is made whether to perform the enhanced RRM measurements and the handover based on the indicator.

  • Publication number: 20240155504
Abstract: An apparatus and system for power saving in a user equipment (UE) are described. The UE uses signal-to-interference-plus-noise (SINR) of radio link monitoring (REM) signals to determine whether to enter or exit a relaxation state in which the frequency of measurement of the REM signals is reduced, as is feedback to the base station. The REM relaxation state is dependent on the average SINR of the REM signals over a predetermined time window. Alternatively, the REM relaxation state is dependent on SINR thresholds that include an SINR fluctuation range using a SINR threshold for REM in-sync or derived from a Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF) curve of SINR using a predetermined maximum SINR fluctuation.

  • Publication number: 20240155536
Abstract: An apparatus and system for setting an uplink timing advance (TA) for a non-terrestrial network (NTN) user equipment (UE) are described. The NTN UE estimates and updates a UE-specific TA value each period. The update is based on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) positions and satellite ephemeris information. The NTN UE adjusts the UE-specific TA gradually, between a predetermined minimum and maximum aggregate adjustment rate.

  • Publication number: 20240153223
Abstract: In particular embodiments, a computing system may capture access a set of depth measurements and an image of a scene generated using one or more sensors of an artificial reality device. The system may generate, based on the image, a plurality of segmentation masks respectively associated with a plurality of object types. The system may segment, using the plurality of segmentation masks, the set of depth measurements into subsets of depth measurements respectively associated with the plurality of object types. The system may determine, for each object type, a three-dimensional (3D) model that best fits the subset of depth measurements corresponding to the object type. The system may refine, using 3D models determined for the plurality of object types, the subsets of depth measurements respectively associated with the plurality of object types and use refined depth measurements for mixed reality rendering.

  • Publication number: 20240152798
Abstract: Some embodiments select a machine learning model training duration based at least in part on a fractal dimension calculated for a training data dataset. Model training durations are based on one or more characteristics of the data, such as a fractal dimension, a data distribution, or a spike count. Default long training durations are sometimes replaced by shorter durations without any loss of model accuracy. For instance, the time-to-detect for a model-based intrusion detection system is shortened by days in some circumstances. Model training is performed per a profile which specifies particular resources or particular entities, or both. Realistic test data is generated on demand. Test data generation allows the trained model to be exercised for demonstrations, or for scheduled confirmations of effective monitoring by a model-based security tool, without thereby altering the model's training.
