  • Publication number: 20240155666
Abstract: A computer-readable storage medium stores instructions to configure a UE for sidelink operation in a 5G NR network, and to cause the UE to perform operations including encoding a first SCI for transmission. The first SCI includes a first resource reservation for a subsequent sidelink transmission by the UE in a pre-selected slot. A second SCI received from a second UE is decoded. The second SCI includes a second resource reservation for a subsequent sidelink transmission by the second UE in the pre-selected slot. A reservation conflict is detected based on the first resource reservation and the second resource reservation using the pre-selected slot. A third SCI is encoded for transmission based on the detection of the reservation conflict. The third SCI includes a modified version of the first resource reservation for the subsequent sidelink transmission by the UE.

  • Publication number: 20240152798
Abstract: Some embodiments select a machine learning model training duration based at least in part on a fractal dimension calculated for a training data dataset. Model training durations are based on one or more characteristics of the data, such as a fractal dimension, a data distribution, or a spike count. Default long training durations are sometimes replaced by shorter durations without any loss of model accuracy. For instance, the time-to-detect for a model-based intrusion detection system is shortened by days in some circumstances. Model training is performed per a profile which specifies particular resources or particular entities, or both. Realistic test data is generated on demand. Test data generation allows the trained model to be exercised for demonstrations, or for scheduled confirmations of effective monitoring by a model-based security tool, without thereby altering the model's training.

  • Publication number: 20240155654
Abstract: An apparatus and system for inter-UE coordination feedback for sidelink communications are described. In particular, inter-UE coordination feedback signaling for reliable sidelink communication including transmitter-based resource allocation and signaling of conflicts, prioritization of the inter-UE coordination feedback, and timing of the inter-UE coordination feedback are described. Sidelink hybrid acknowledgment request (HARQ) acknowledgment/negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) or NACK only signaling is prioritized over a half-duplex (HD) or co-channel collision (CC) feedback indication, and uplink transmissions are prioritized over sidelink transmissions. In response to detection of a conflict, the inter-UE coordination feedback is transmitted relative to the slot where the HD or CC event occurs or relative to the slot where reservation of the resources for the sidelink transmissions.

  • Patent number: 11972153
Abstract: This disclosure provides techniques for managing writes of data useful for storage systems that do not permit overwrite of a logical address. One implementation provides a nonvolatile memory storage drive, such as a flash memory drive, that provides support for zoned drive and/or Open Channel-compliant architectures. Circuitry on the storage drive tracks storage location release metadata for addressable memory space, optionally providing to a host system information upon which maintenance decisions or related scheduling can be based. The storage drive can also provide buffering support for accommodating receipt of out-of-order writes and unentanglement and performance of out of order writes, with buffering resources being configurable according to any one of a number of parameters. The disclosed storage drive facilitates reduced error rates and lower request traffic in a manner consistent with newer memory standards that mandate that writes to logical addresses be sequential.

  • Publication number: 20240137376
Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein prevent a rogue resource from being created within a cloud computing environment. For example, a rogue serverless function may be prevented from integrating with a cloud-based database, thereby preventing the serverless function from performing malicious operations such as low-rate data exfiltration. The rogue serverless function is detected before it is installed, heading off the attack completely. In some configurations, a key retrieval request is received. Parameters of the key retrieval request are analyzed for anomalies, and anomalous key retrieval requests are stored in a pool. Then, when a request to create a resource is received, the pool of anomalous key retrieval requests is searched for a match. When a match is found, the resource creation request may be suspended pending a further security review.

  • Publication number: 20240134663
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for validating loading of complete electronic form on a user interface of an electronic device. When the electronic form is displayed on the user interface, a server obtains current pixel data from the electronic device. The server then compares the current pixel data with prior pixel data determined from a pixel map. The pixel map is associated with the electronic form and the electronic device. When the current pixel data does not match with the prior pixel data, the server concludes that the electronic form is not fully displayed on the user interface. The server then executes a protocol for display of complete electronic form on the user interface.
