  • Publication number: 20220417586
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer media provide for identifying exclusion zones in frames of a video, aggregating those exclusion zones for a specified duration or number of frames, defining a inclusion zone within which overlaid content is eligible for inclusion, and providing overlaid content for inclusion in the inclusion zone. The exclusion zones can include regions in which significant features are detected such as text, human features, objects from a selected set of object categories, or moving objects.

  • Publication number: 20160328738
Abstract: According to at least one aspect, a data processing system and method for providing off-viewport third party content include obtaining an in-viewport performance data set including a plurality of impressions and corresponding user interaction performance measures associated with a set of third-party content items. The data processing system can be configured to determine for each impression associated with a first map viewport a second map viewport smaller than the first map viewport by a respective zoom level. The data processing system can generate a training data set including, the plurality of impressions, the corresponding plurality of user interaction performance values and indications of the corresponding zoom levels. A user interaction predictive model can be trained using the generated training data set and the trained user interaction predictive model can be used to select third party content items for presentation with respective second map viewports as off-viewport third-party content items.

  • Publication number: 20140009599
Abstract: Carbon nanostructure growth on a substrate can be evaluated by visual imaging techniques. Methods for imaging carbon nanostructures on a substrate can include providing a plurality of carbon nanostructures infused to a substrate; acquiring an image of the plurality of carbon nanostructures while they are infused to the substrate; converting the image of the plurality of carbon nanostructures into a binary image, the binary image comprising a carbon nanostructure/substrate portion and an extraneous portion; and correlating the carbon nanostructure/substrate portion of the binary image with an amount of carbon nanostructures infused to the substrate. An illustrative substrate can be one or more fibers onto which carbon nanostructures are infused.

  • Publication number: 20110278337
Abstract: A carrying bag for a notebook computer has a body and two back straps. The body has a first housing and a second housing mutually folded together and having a chamber defined therebetween. The second housing is connected with the first housing with a bottom wall thereof. The second housing has a positioning strap and a fixing strap for fixing a portable support frame. The back straps mounted on the second housing. Each back strap has two ends respectively mounted on a bottom and a top of the second housing. The present invention allows users to operate a notebook computer outdoors and upon walking without having to keep staying at a fixed location. Users can operate the notebook computer at any time regardless of if standing or leaning against a wall.

  • Patent number: 7676821
Abstract: Method and related system for detecting advertising sections of video signal. The invention is capable of integrating detecting results based on different detecting rules, which includes detecting discontinuity of frame images in the video signals, detecting occurrences of frames with specific images, detecting occurrences of repeated frames, and detecting audio divisions in the video signal. Detecting results of these detecting rules are integrated by weighting them according to their accuracy, such that occurrence of advertising can be located.

  • Patent number: 7646818
Abstract: In the video signals provided by broadcasting media, advertising sections are inserted between normal programs, thus causing interruption. An end portion of the normal program will be repeated before an advertising section ends. The invention determines the continuity of two adjacent frames, to search for frame discontinuity to find out if there is a frame similar to a next given frame. If a similar frame is found to have an advertising frame, an advertisement is detected.

  • Publication number: 20050289587
Abstract: A method and related interface system for facilitating manual detection of advertising sections within a video signal. The method includes sampling frames from every N1 frames to be reference frames in the video signal, and showing the reference frames to a user. If the user finds that a given reference frame is an advertising frame, setting N2 to be smaller than N1, sampling frames from every N2 frames between the given reference frame and its adjacent reference frame to be second layer reference frames, showing the second layer reference frames to the user such that the user can further detail selection of advertising frames, and locating advertising frames more precisely.

  • Publication number: 20050283793
Abstract: A method and related system for detecting insertion points of advertising sections within a video signal. When broadcasting media provide program services, frames of specific images are inserted before or after an advertising section to indicate beginnings or endings of the advertising sections. The present invention is capable of learning/storing specific images assigned by users. When the present invention performs advertising detection of a video signal, the invention is capable of comparing stored images and frames within the video signal, such that the insertion points, which indicate beginnings or endings of advertising sections, can be detected.
