    Abstract: A UV-curable and recyclable thermoset shape memory polymer is provided. The polymer includes a vitrimer-based monomer and a photoinitiator. The vitrimer-based monomer includes a first unit rendering a high chain stiffness upon polymerization of the monomer, and a second photopolymerizable unit for photopolymerization of the monomer under a UV irradiation. The polymer has high strength, high stiffness, high recovery stress, high energy storage, reasonable recycling efficiency, and is printable using SLA with high resolution.

Under another approach, Vendor-Specific Extended Capability (VSEC) structures are exchanged between a host application layer and a device application layer to effect the changes. The VDMs and VSEC structures may also be used to enable a host to read Tpower_on capability information defining power modes supported by a PCIe device. Additionally, VSEC implementations are provided that implement VSEC components in the PCIe device transaction layer or the PCIe device application layer.

A miniature diaphragm-based fiber-optic tip FP pressure sensor includes an optical fiber, a hollow-core optical fiber, and a pressure sensing diaphragm, wherein the optical fiber and the hollow-core optical fiber have the same diameter, the two are spliced by arc welding; and the pressure sensing diaphragm is bonded to the endface of the hollow-core optical fiber by hydroxide catalysis bonding. The FP pressure sensor can not only realize the all-silica structure of a sensor, but also make the joint of each component free of organic polymer, and has extremely high long-term stability and thermal stability. Meanwhile, by means of a fabrication method of the miniature diaphragm-based fiber-optic tip FP pressure sensor, the application range and service life of the sensor are increased, and fabrication costs are reduced.

    Abstract: Chiral polymer microspheres have a porous structure of a concentric multi-shell structure. Each layer of the multi-shell structure is optically and structurally anisotropic. The optical axes of adjacent layers have a sequential slight twist. All layers of the multi-shell structure generate a helix configuration and the chiral polymer microspheres are optically active. A method for preparing the chiral polymer microspheres, includes: forming a homogeneous liquid crystal mixture; dispersing the liquid crystal mixture into a continuous phase to form liquid crystal droplets through an emulsification process; polymerizing the reactive liquid crystal to form intermediate microspheres; and removing the one non-reactive liquid crystal and the chiral additive to form the chiral polymer microspheres. The chiral polymer microspheres have a porous structure and a swelling ability, and can be used as the stationary phase in chiral chromatograph, improving separation efficiency.
