  • Patent number: 9207497
Abstract: A method for preparing an alignment film (6), a method for performing alignment of the alignment film (6), as well as a multi-dimensional liquid crystal display device manufacture using the alignment film (6). The alignment film (6) generated by the preparation method is a light sensitive alignment film (6), which can generate directions of orientation perpendicular or parallel to the polarization direction under different dosages of linearly polarized ultraviolet light (10). By adjusting the polarization direction or dosage of the linearly polarized ultraviolet light (10), multi-dimensional orientations of the alignment film (6) is achieved. Manufacture of a multi-dimensional liquid crystal display device using a substrate (1) having the alignment film (6) with multi-dimensional orientations avoids the manufacture of the multi-dimensional electrode, and reduces costs and difficulty of process.

  • Publication number: 20150225631
Abstract: The invention discloses a resin composition, use method thereof, and a LCD panel using the same, which can solve the problem of poor display in a peripheral display area caused by denaturization of liquid crystal in that area upon exposure to UV light of 320-380 nm adopted for UV radiation of resin compositions in the prior art. The resin composition of the invention is photocurable under an irradiation of visible light having a wavelength in the range of 400-450 nm, which will not cause the denaturization of liquid crystal. Thus, the distance from the edge of the mask to the display area can be decreased, which is advantageous for the reduction of the width of the frame of a LCD panel.

  • Publication number: 20140079994
Abstract: Electrochemical cells, and more specifically, release systems for the fabrication of electrochemical cells are described. In particular, release layer arrangements, assemblies, methods and compositions that facilitate the fabrication of electrochemical cell components, such as electrodes, are presented. In some embodiments, methods of fabricating an electrode involve the use of a release layer to separate portions of the electrode from a carrier substrate on which the electrode was fabricated. For example, an intermediate electrode assembly may include, in sequence, an electroactive material layer, a current collector layer, a release layer, and a carrier substrate. The carrier substrate can facilitate handling of the electrode during fabrication and/or assembly, but may be released from the electrode prior to commercial use.
