  • Patent number: 11699360
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods that aid users with hearing and/or speech impediments to have a conversation with a remote phone number without human assistance. In one aspect, an application residing on a user's device, such as a smartphone, tablet computer, laptop, etc., may be used to initiate a phone call to a recipient. Upon initiating the phone call locally, a service residing on the server may receive a request to initiate a connection to the recipient. Once the recipient answers, the user may converse with the recipient by providing text input to their local app. The text input may be transmitted to the service. The service may use a text to speech converter to translate the received text to speech that can be delivered to the recipient.

  • Publication number: 20230209585
Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting and mitigating the effects of time of flight interference of a radio frequency (RF) signal are provided. A wireless communication network may determine, based on one or more parameters being sufficiently different than a baseline value, that time of flight interference is occurring based on the undesirable propagation of a first cell's downlink signals into a second cell's coverage area. In response to the determination, the network may identify an offending base station and modify the RF transmission characteristics of the offending base station to prevent or mitigate the impact of the interference event on the RF signal's propagation.

  • Patent number: 11676135
Abstract: Technologies are shown for selecting a provider to service a client service request using a predictive metrics based consensus protocol to select a provider and create a service request transaction block to service the client service request. A client service request is received and forwarded to a set of providers. Proposed transactions are received from the providers and scored based on a predictive metric. A proposal transaction is selected based on the scoring and the selected transaction is written as a block on a service transaction blockchain. The provider for the selected transaction detects the block on the blockchain and performs the requested service. The client detects the block on the blockchain and transfers payment to the provider. Selection can be based on predictive metrics in the providers or macro metrics determined in miner nodes in combination with provider reputation, currency, load sharing, fairness, provisioning, and static and dynamic criteria.

  • Publication number: 20230169222
Abstract: A method for pollutant sensor placement for pollutants from point sources is described. Data about environmental characteristics for a geographic region are received from a plurality of environmental sensors. The geographic region includes pollutant sources that emit a pollutant. The received data from one or more of the plurality of environmental sensors are transformed into common data having a common spatial and temporal discretization across the geographic region. Predicted emission plumes are generated for the pollutant sources within the geographic region that identify pollutant detection regions for the pollutant when the pollutant is emitted by the pollutant sources using the common data. Sensor locations for a plurality of pollutant sensors are greedily selected across the common spatial and temporal discretization according to a number of predicted emission plumes that are detectable by the plurality of pollutant sensors.
